Problem with Allaince Chat!!! help...

On guildwars you have the "All" chat and "Guild" Chat etc... but the "Allaince" chat one doesnt work. I can click on the tab and write into and press enter... but it doesnt show what i wrote in the chat screen, other people in the guild said they can see it, and i cant see what people are writing in the allaince chat! Please help it means i miss all the good jokes!!!

have you got the Alliance chat turned off? the number of times I havn't clicked the alliance chat checkbox and moaned I can't see their messages lol

yes.... im in a allaince i can go to the tab but when i press enter its as if nothing happended

At the top of the chat box (when you hit "~" or click on it), there is a row of "check boxes" for Chat, Trade, Team, Alliance, etc. Make sure the box next to Alliance is checked. (Not the same thing as the tabs)
