SS Build?
Nimrod4431
Hello, honestly I have looked on this site and I cannot for the life of me find an SS Necro build. I have been told that Spoils Victor works nicely with SS.. opinions? I only have Olias right now, is it necessary for 2 necros to run similar builds? Or is one efficient for now... thank you.

[skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill][skill]Reckless Haste[/skill][skill]Price of Failure[/skill][skill]Serpent's Quickness[/skill][skill]Signet of Lost Souls[/skill][skill]Blood Ritual[/skill][skill]Parasitic Bond[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Curses: 16 (12+3+1) or 14 (12+1+1)
Soul Reaping: 10 (9+1)
Wilderness Survival: 9
Blood: (all the rest)
Thats a good descent build for SS on a hero. They are not smart enough to know to only echo SS, so SQ is the next best usage for them. Been working out pretty well, SS, SQ and RH are the main skills, all the rest are really up for whatever changes you see best...
Don't need to run a 2nd hero with SV, that is not necessary. Only time an SV hero necro is useful is when you have to fight any specific boss for an extended period (Shiro, Lich, Rurik, etc). For an SV hero build, i would also use Serpent's Quickness, Blood Ritual, 2 additional direct damage blood spells, then 2 skills for energy management or/and hp and defense. If u want specifics for an SV build give me a holler!
Honestly, ther are many many SS hero builds here in this forum section, just gotta look a bit more...
ANywhoo, hope that helps a bit, and GL and HF!
cheers!

Now that all monsters attack with a 33% speed bonus RH is a bit of a waste, because it will not increase their attack speed any further, making it like a single target blurred vision. I like slipping SV/AV the SS hero as they are very good at using them and (when combined with a compent tank) it really helps to help take down resilient groups like the Healing Hands grawl in the eastern fronteer.

Frustration is there to synergise with a [skill]Broad Head Arrow[/skill] ranger, and can be subbed for something else if you don't have one on board.

What in gods name are you talking about...
Reckless Haste isn't single target.
The DOWNSIDE of Reckless Haste is the increase attack speed because it makes the enemies attack more times in a given time so they will still hit more often, since they are already overbuffed, you just the miss chance, which is a good thing. The only reason it matters is because the AI is dumb and will suicide from SS/Price.
Similar builds on Necro Heroes only really works if they both happen to be running Discord. Works quite well on my Necro and his 2 Nec heroes.
My SS hero runs:
Spiteful Spirit
Reckless Haste
Price of Failure/Barbs
Enfeebling Blood
Signet of Lost Souls
Blood Ritual
Awaken the Blood
Res Chant
12 + 2 + 1Curses
Rest blood + 2 Blood (forgot how much)
10 + 1 Soul Reaping
He does occasionally get a little carried away with BR, but he does a good job.

The only reason it matters is because the AI is dumb and will suicide from SS/Price. I am saying that in the olden days, people used RH to make monsters kill themselves faster. Since HM came out, monsters get a natural +33% attack speed which is not increased any further by RH. Making the monsters kill themselves faster and a miss chance used to be worth 15 energy and a slot, a simple miss chance on its own isn't, which is why it has dropped off both my and my hero's skillbars.

I agree with this, you really need to consider whether RH is worth it solely for the miss chance, and weigh up the other alternatives, such as blurred vision on an Elementalist, or Well of Darkness.

[skill]Reckless Haste[/skill]
[skill]Blurred Vision[/skill]
Slightly higher recharge and the added bonus of still effecting those HM enemies that ARENT overbuffed.
A Necro can afford it.
It couples nicely with Price of Failure.
There are no alterantives for a Curses necro. Well takes up corpses. Blurred isn't an option. The enemy still has a 50% chance to miss... i'm not exactly going to give that up considering how hard they can hit.

since always...

I really appreciate the builds guys, thanks. BUT.. I'm not sure why everyone puts so much into Soul Reaping (since only one skill uses it, and it's not a key skill). Would the build be better perhaps with an added curses skill? I know heroes use the sig very proficiently but I was just wondering... nevertheless thanks again!

I think you really need to read the description of Soul Reaping...

Soul Reaping is the Necromancer primary attribute, so only characters that are primary Necromancers can put points into Soul Reaping. It works by giving you X energy whenever creatures die nearby, where X is the Soul Reaping attribute rating. This effect will only trigger three times per fifteen seconds. If your energy bar is full when the effect triggers, it won't count towards the 3 times per 15 seconds limit.
LOL.. I've never played a necro.. so I didn't know how that worked. Thanks for the heads up *slaps self*
