How many tickets to buy?

Just a quick question on the Dragon Festival game Nine Rings.
I read through all the Wiki pages about the games and the odds and all that. What I could not figure out is:

How many tickets should I purchase to start out with if I want to gain either Lucky(1) or Lucky(2) title? I am only interested in Lucky not so much the unlucky title so, I will probably play the middle ring or maybe the side but, not the corner.

The reason I ask is I will be out of town for most of the weekend and just wanted a good number to start with as I won't be able to buy any more tickets till I get back in town and the festival will be almost over by then.

From memory, the tickets do sell back to the merchant at the same price you bought them for. So I'd advise emptying out your storage and buying all the tickets you can, then selling back any unused tickets afterwards.

If you scroll down to the Achieving one title only table, the first column has the number of tickets you need to buy to achieve each level of the title in the 2 games. 100,000 tickets should get you to lvl 2 in the lucky title track.
