Well, inspired by the other thread I thought we could have a real build pinging session. So, go ahead post your favorite/most often used build that you run and tell us why it's so great! I know if you're a PvP you might have a constantly changing build, but post the one you're most proud of.

Here's mine:

this is a pve build

[skill]stone daggers[/skill][skill]earth attunement[/skill][skill]eruption[/skill][skill]obsidian flame[/skill][skill]sandstorm[/skill][skill]armor of earth[/skill]OPTIONAL SLOT[skill]mystic regeneration[/skill]
the armor of earth icon is wrong, shows as kinetic armor, but it is supposed to be armor of earth

The optional slot is used for either intensity (which I really like even after the nerf), res signet or stoneflesh aura.

What makes this build so great: With energy storage and earth attunement I rarely run out of energy even in big long fights so there's energy management.

Sandstorm is a pretty standard nuking spell, it has a long duration and is best cast in the midst of casters and the like, someone who isn't going to move around much. Eruption, despite it's medium damage and high energy cost is definatly the most powerful skill in my arsenal. When the enemy warriors reach your group cast eruption and you've got 10 seconds of them being useless. Against large groups of melee characters it is simply invaluable. When I'm doing UW people sometimes wonder why the Aatax do next to no damage, watch the earth ele

Obsidian flame/stone daggers are both single target spike moves. I use stone daggers mainly because it is fast, very cheap (3 energy) and can be spammed. With intensity on it normally nets about 50 damage against a level 24 which is better than a normal attack. If I was going to change this build stone daggers would be the one to go. O'flame speaks for itself I think?
Obsidian Flame+Boss= Dead boss

I like having extra armor in battles as eles are such a squishy class. AoE reduces the damage I take quite a lot and is useful for mystic regen too.

Normally I have intensity in the optional slot, but when I'm playing with people I take a res. You've just gotta have one.

Mystic regen: the build isn't enchant heavy but I have two up all the time. With mystic regen thrown in I have three with gives me a nice 9 regen. Enough to keep my alive long enough for that last nuke I think.

Ok, now show yours

I actually thought this was what the original thread was for till i read it ^^

My PvE Derv build:

[skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill][skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill][skill]Wild Blow[/skill][skill]Lyssa's Assault[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill]Aura of Holy Might, Eternal Aura[skill]Avatar of Lyssa[/skill]

16 Scythe. 13/16 Mysticism.

Wild Blow is the optional, but i tend to stick with it, the ensured critical is nice when you hit for 100-300.

Its pretty obvious... use a +4 Mysticism hood for casting Lyssa + Fury, switch back to a +4 Scythe. Go nuts.

12+1+1 divine, 9+1 prot, 9 wilderness

RA build, not gonna get bored of this any time soon

My favorite RA build ever. SP + Combo my targets, Siphon all the annoying Parasites(Warriors), heal when necessary... 'Yknow, basic stuff.

[skill]Earth Attunement[/skill][skill]Glyph of Lesser energy[/skill][skill]Unsteady Ground[/skill][skill]Eruption[/skill][skill]Ebon Hawk[/skill][skill]Drain Enchantment[/skill] Optional Slot Usually Intensity even after the nerf [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

E Storage: 12
Earth Magic: 16
Inspiration Magic: whatever is left.

Sometimes I swap out Unsteady Ground for sandstorm . If I do that I take Deep Freeze instead of Intensity. I sometimes take Ward against Melee instead of intensity. Every once in a while you get a stubborn warrior that bum rushes you and it's nice to throw down that ward and then cast on him point blank range.

This is my standard Dervish bar.

[skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill][skill]Wild blow[/skill][skill]Reap Impurities[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Aura of Thorns[/skill][skill]Ebon dust Aura[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill] Optional Slot Usually a rez but with a competent group I'll use watchful intervention instead.

Mysticism:12
Scythe:16
Earth Prayers:Whatever is left

I use my Ebon tormented scythe with this build. 20% enchants, 15% while enchanted. The build has decent damage output but it's meant to be a blinder, as is obvious by the elite choice. I love this build. It is usually the last one standing in a difficult area.

[ Whirlwind Attack ] [ "Save Yourselves!" ] [skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Enraging Charge[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill][skill]Signet of Return[/skill]

Sword 16
Strength 13

PvE, obviously.

Ridiculously powerful.

I still bring Dolly for the anti-knockdown and in case no one else packs "Save Yourselves!".

I sure could bring Rebirth instead of Return, but you know, Wammo...

I use that the most, but on my ele:

[skill]Savannah Heat[/skill][skill]Searing Heat[/skill][skill]Teinai's Heat[/skill][skill]Fireball[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Glyph of Sacrifice[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]

[skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Spirit Rift[/skill][skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Spirit Burn[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill]optional, optional.

For the Optional slots take a few resto/communing spirits and/or a res.

Highly open for suggestions btw.

Great fun in ABs...

[skill]Clumsiness[/skill][skill]Ineptitude[/skill][skill]Conjure Phantasm[/skill][skill]Conjure Nightmare[/skill][skill]Arcane Conundrum[/skill][skill]Power Drain[/skill][skill]Drain Enchantment[/skill][skill]Ethereal Burden[/skill]

Primarily an anti-melee build, but also works effectively against touchies (snare + -13 degen) as well as slowing casters (great for capping caster shrines). Nice e-management. As effective as Clumsiness and Ineptitude are, the degens are the key. You can completely change how someone's playing when they see their health bar peel away. Ineptitude is the perfect first cast on that charging assassin that thinks you're a nice squishy little mesmer. Blind em, they're toast. Chase it with Clumsiness (they always swing twice) then slap on the degens. Drain Feigned Neutrality (or whatever it's called). The smarter ones run away hoping for a heal before they die. The ... less intelligent... stick around for another dose of clumsiness as they crumple at your feet. Works great on Warriors and Rangers too. Dervishes... they're a bit more of a pain, but between draining Mystic Regen and blinding them the degens tend to be enough to get them to at worst look for a different target. Casters - Conundrum, degens, power drain and drain enchant (if they're using one... they usually are...) will at worst weaken them to the point of being easy prey for a teammate. MMs... Snare and Degen, same as touchies. Add conundrum and interrupt for the Coup de Grace.

It's a fun build, effective, and I like it. Feel free to give it a try. Tell the assassin at your feet that Canus sent you. (AB IGN = Canus Specificus)

Here's my favorite builds for each of my 3 mains. All PvE oriented.

Evil Aimee: Mo/E

Protection Prayers: 16
Divine Favor: 13

[skill]Blessed Light[/skill][skill]Reversal Of Fortune[/skill][skill]Shield Of Absorption[/skill][skill]Mend Condition[/skill]
[skill]Glyph Of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Aegis[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Rebirth[/skill]

I just love the versatility of this build. Although I can't handle spikes very well with it, it's quite capable at doing most of the things that Heroes/Hench don't have a clue with.

Krysten Riega: W/R

Swordsmanship: 16
Beast Mastery: 10
Strength: 9

[skill]Barbarous Slice[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Sun And Moon Slash[/skill][skill]Final Thrust[/skill]
[skill]Heal As One[/skill][skill]Call Of Protection[/skill][skill]Charm Animal[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Situationally, I swap SAMS for Whirlwind Attack and I usually take Rebirth sig instead of Res sig, but I want the tables to look pretty Anyway, my Moa Bird has got a bit of history behind her, (almost 2 years worth,) so I rarely take her out of my build. It's a nice build too - high damage output, a half decent heal, but not much defense, just the way I like to play warrior.

Rena Sapphireblade: E/W

Earth Magic: 16
Swordsmanship: 12
Energy Storage: 4

[skill]Crippling Slash[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Sun And Moon Slash[/skill][skill]Final Thrust[/skill]
[skill]Sliver Armor[/skill][skill]Stone Striker[/skill][skill]Armor Of Earth[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Don't try this build at home kids, it's a roleplay build. It works though. Stone Striker combined with geomancers insignia and an offhand with a +10al Vs Earth inscription is an instant +30 armor boost that bypasses the armor cap completely, which combined with Armor of Earth means +92 armor*, leaving you free to get on with killing things (provided there's nothing with chillblains ) If I'm rolling in hard mode, I'll usually swap Sliver Armor for Magnetic Aura, which has a 25s duration with an enchanting weapon, which helps a lot. Oh and just like Krysten's I usually take Whirlwind and Rebirth Sig, but like I said before, dont want to mess up the shiny stuff.

* I actually roll with a max shield with +10 vs Earth and an energy -5 Vamp weapon of Warding, so go figure, not much energy, but then I barely need it, and I'm running about with 167 armor, so...

[skill]light of deliverance[/skill] [skill]infuse health[/skill] [skill]words of comfort[/skill] [skill]dwayna's kiss[/skill] [skill]signet of rejuvenation[/skill] [skill]holy veil[/skill] [skill]channeling[/skill] [skill]hex breaker[/skill]

Trusty HoH infuse bar. Pretty self-explanatory, not really for PvE but I suppose it would work in most areas if you switched out HB for a condition removal. This bar (and it's older cousin containing spellbreaker) have gotten me LOADS of fame. Just beware of flaming if you don't have a quick trigger finger. =p

That shock axe bar above me might be the best warrior bar ever, btw.

You type [ skill] then the skill name (there's also no spaces in [ skill], so you know].

So you'd type [ skill]Mending[/ skill].

One of my favorite ranger builds is:

[skill]Needling Shot[/skill][skill]Screaming Shot[/skill][skill]Sundering Attack[/skill][skill]Savage Shot[/skill][skill]Pin Down[/skill][skill]Marksman's Wager[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Dryder's Defenses[/skill]

Attributes:
Expertise 13
Wilderness Survival 10
Marksmanship 14

This is a great general purpose build that works well in a lot of areas and the best part is energy management, it's difficult to run out of energy in most cases.

The template code for this build is: OgATcXsm1pVerPlqGEjrx3QcAA

I was experimenting with various energy management builds one day and came up with it after trying a lot of different combinations, I have used it ever since.
