Didn't know where to post this but it was just a build we've been working on, trying to make the "impossible" missions a little easier. The Rit is an adapted Vengeful Echo build, and the monk is required to provide support in the form of enchantments. As the person taking damage will be a Ritualist/Mesmer they will not have the monk enchantments stripped by Fingers of Chaos. The builds are as follows:
Ritualist/Mesmer
Attributes:
Illusion: 6
Inspiration: 11
Restoration: 12 + 1 + 3
Skills:
[skill]Mantra of Resolve[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Vengeful was Khanhei[/skill][skill]Vengeful Weapon[/skill][skill]Ancestor's Visage[/skill][skill]Sympathetic Visage[/skill][skill]Ether Signet[/skill][skill]Death Pact Signet[/skill]

Protection Prayers: 12 + 1

We tried this in normal mode and works like a charm but not sure if it works in Hard Mode yet. If anyone wants to try it out in HM I'd love to see what happens, otherwise we will try it out tomorrow when I'm more awake.
The general idea is the Monk keeps Essence Bond and Life Bond on the Ritualist, and casts Blessed Aura on themself. The Ritualist keeps Mantra of Resolve on at all times. When progressing through an explorable area the Ritualist goes ahead, finger poised over Arcane Echo and the Monk follows on behind, just in range to cast enchantments, with finger poised over Spellbraker.
When the inevitable happens and stuff pops up the Ritualist needs to cast Arcane Echo and Vengeful Was Khanhei, spamming Vengeful Weapon wherever possible, just as with a usual Vengeful Echo build. The Monk casts Spellbraker and Protective Spirit and backs well away. If the Monk or Rit takes too much damage the Monk can, carefully, get back in range and cast Shielf of Absorption on themselves, or on the Ritualist. They can also cast Seed of Life on the Rit in order to heal the pair of them.
The Rit can cast the visages to help drain off energy, so if Spellbraker ends too soon the foes are a little useless. Although the Scythes don't, the Storms and Grasps attack in Melee making the visages quite useful. If the Ritualist's energy gets too low Ether Signet can be used to gain 17 energy.
When you have killed a mob stop until your skills are recharged, especially Arcane Echo before moving on...you never know when something will pop-up!
There may be better builds around, this build may be tweaked to make it better, it was just something we were mucking around with and thought we'd share. If anyone tries it out in Hard Mode in the meantime, please let us know how it works or if tweaks need to be made.
This build was tested in the Jahai Bluffs mission and was completed in 50 minutes, only 2 deaths being due to silly mistakes. Remember: if you do need to run...run back along the path you came along You know that one is clear of pop-up monsters.
Bed time now!
Enjoy,
~Guild of [WHO].

Edit: In case the picture doesn't load, the 6th skill in the monk build is Seed of Life...silly GWG doesn't have a skill tag for that one yet

Pretty neat, but wouldn't channeling be a better choice than ether signet?

I tried Channeling but didn't feel as though I was getting much energy back from it. Ether Signet is more than enough extra energy if it's even needed at all. Often I didn't need to use it.
We tried this build out in Hard Mode today in the Seitung Harbor mission...Worked like a charm, we managed the mission twice in the half hour slot.
