Starting an Assassin
Eminence
I was wondering what my second profession should be, I'm leveling up with a good friend of mine and i was wondering what a good combo is. thanks!

If u ask me a pure sin will always be the best choice, (when it comes 2 dmg that is) apart from that i would suggest:
Monks for perma res and conditon removal.
Warriors for IAS.
Mesmer & ele if u want to get into farming.
Assa/Dervish is a good pve combo if ur using alot of enchants + they are good runners.
Rit will give u some great dmg if u want to hit more than one
opponent at a time (nightmare weapon, Splinter weapon) .
Rangers got some cool stances+ u can go critical barrager (a sin that takes advantage of the ranger elite Barrage, and the sin's critical line, and combines with skills like sharpen daggers, and assassins redmy).
Paragon got some shouts but its not a good secondary for a sin if u ask me.
Hope the tips were of some use for u.

very much so, i was looking into the assassin ranger build, looks like fun.

My personal favorite is A/D using mystic regen in a DM+ mobius build along with critical defenses and agility.

A/R would be best for you.. I had this posted last night, but remember that Barrage is capped around the same area as Assassin's Promise and you won't have much of a choice in elites until then.
If you want to melee, A/D using Wind Prayers is pretty fun. Whirling Charge/Critical Agility+Onslaught(derv elite) is great for spamming the enchantment req skills.

I'm with Coloneh about the A/D. Mystic Regen + the Critical Enchantments will regen your health, increase your attack speed, and block 75% of attacks.
Go for that.
Go for that.

A good assassin need not rely on his/her secondary profession....
Sjeng oet Mestreech
Then I suggest you start relying on your secondary profession.
