Make all weapons across all campaign inscribale
bttgw
Anet have standardized the all armour for insignia upgrades. When is the turn for our rare weapons to recieve the same treatment? I think making all rare weapon "homogeneous" is good for the players as well as Anet's backend data management.

Leave what few real 'rares' that are left alone
Yawgmoth
a big NO to this idea.
Please leave the last remains of 'rarity' in the game, don't crapify everything.

a skin is a skin... tough look to those that think otherwise and bring back the original idea for GW that items didn't matter!

/signed, but at least for skins that can be found in nightfall AND in another chapter, thats only fair.

When you want the skin, settle for a less perfect one when you can't afford perfect. When you want the stats, settle for an other (inscribable) skin.
From PvE perspective there is no reason to change and PvP characters can create their own PvP weapons.
There are some skins that did always matter.
That is, from trading perspective.
From game perspective, having a long sword or crystalline does not matter.
I see no reason for the change, except 'poor' people wanting expensive toys.

All weapons with all skins and all mods should be available to everyone. Who cares about rares or making money? Elitists only

Let's take the 'Tyrian' list mentioned in #9 and compare that:
I'm only considering gold drops.
Drops that can be found in NF and are thus inscribable if dropped there (so no need to inscribe the tyrian ones):
Brute Sword
Dead Bow
Eternal Bow
Fellblade
Mursaat Hammer
Mursaat Hornbow
Sephis Axe
Shadow Blade
Shadow Bow
Storm Bow
Tribal Axe (not in the list, no max inscribable available so far)
I have seen a white (Tyrian) Tribal Axe max (req 9) though.
Core (don't know about inscriptions):
Chaos Axe
Dwarven Axe
HoH rewards (don't know about inscriptions):
Crystalline Sword
Dwarven Axe
Serpent Axe
Factions only weapons (no inscriptions):
Celestial Longbow
Clouded Maul
Crenellated Sword
Gothic Dual Axe
Golden Phoenix Blade
Gothic Axe
Gothic Sword
Ironwing Flatbow
Oni Blade
Platinum Blade
Platinum Longbow
Tetsubo Hammer
Vertebreaker
Zodiac Axe
Zodiac Daggers
Zodiac Hammer
Zodiac Longbow
Zodiac Sword
Unknown, green:
Dragon Sycthe
Dragon Sword
Gavel Of The Nephilim
So basically, we are talking about a couple of Canthan items and perhaps Chaos/Dwarven axes.
The rest is out of reach of non HA players.

Rares only? No way! All of them!
Just make the Core inscription system work worldwide!
Rare skins should drop only in rare gold color, too, like Icy Dragon Swords.

korcan
sure, why not
everything in this game is fairly common anyhow, other then a handful of asian minis.

Thats why I'm /notsigning.
Complain all you really want Everytime these come up thats all its about. You want the rare skins. Hell everything but the damage on a weapon is nothing more than vanity, and you dont really need them.
And well since rare weapons are basically the same as rare armors I believe one of your very own inscription supporters have said it best.

the designers never intended 15K work to earn it vanity armor to be bought with only a weeks work . a month is much more like it as you can actually say i well............worked to earn it. you are supposed to work for vanity armor or everybody would have it |
