I'm just curious, can folks be banned for misusing the Party Search? Folks are getting banned for misusing (spamming) the Chat and trade channels. So why not the Party search as well? Take a look at this screenshot taken from Shing Jea. We shouldn't have to look at this no more than we have to look at chat/trade channel spam. (I realize things get a bit hectic during events, but this kind of party search abuse happens all the time and not just during events.

Yeah.. god please do not start up on party search crap, this is a GOOD thing people are using it, for whatever reason that it be, It's being used. FFS everyone complains that no one uses it, then we get this. I say that even if everything was perfect people would still find something to complain about, like.. the looks of an NPC, no one will ever be satisfied lol.

Yeah, please don't start, I mean it's so good, having stupid people using the party search system in a stupid manner, which coincidentely annoys other players, BUT HEY! Some of us think it's OK!
/sarcasm
I use the party search system, and having such "spam" doesn't help. Goes to show you who actually "try" to use the new function rather then telling other: "Oh let it be, you got local chat back!" Cause clearly then don't use the party search system themselves, or else why would they say that HUMM?

Lighten up.
The stuff they posted isn't spam anyhow. It's not actually possible to spam party search window.
Anet started going "Big Brother" on Local because "Local is for socializing" according to Anet.
Now people are using the party search window to socialize and that should be punishable!? That's absurd.

1. More people look at the Party Search window than most people think - too bad many people who are trading don't realize this. Most of the people I've talked to about it say they look at PS as soon as they enter town, especally the trading centers.
2. A-Net's craking down on Trade chat in local was never intended as a license for pea-brained juveniles to post moronic garbage.
3. The reason that Trade spam in local got so bad in the first place was because no one put a stop to it in the first place - a couple dozen suspensions in May of 2005 would have nipped the problem in the bud and the community aspect wouldn't have suffered nearly as much.
4. Thinking that it's OK to abuse the PS window for any reason (in this case the festival) is how a small problem like this turns into a big one. I hope that A-Net takes a firm stand on detering this kind of nonsense right now. Speaking for myself, when I open PS, I want to see what's for sale or what someone's buying - Not some political flame-bait or juvenile delinqunet's idea of comedy or other nonsense. (Did the person in that SS reallyneed to let everyone know they were AFK?)

people arn't being baned for spaming - they are being baned for putting TRADE spam in ALL chat... the reson why we have a seperate trade and all chanell is so that people who don't want to buy anything can turn off the trade channel - when trade spam is in all chat they lose that ability and therefore there is an abuse of the system......party search is seperate, and there is not an invasion onto people who are not actively looking at it.'

If that's how it's gonna be "used," I'd much rather see it not used.
