Not giving same type of mini pet to same account idea.

I think it is stupid coding that causes this to happen, same type of mini pet to the same account holder.

Today I was extremely happy to find 3 of my characters has received their 1 year old birthday present, so I click on one, not very happy to find its a necrid horseman because I've had 2 of these on my other account, however I am still happy to get a birthday present, then I play another characters, only to find another birthday present OH JOY, I click open the present, what do you know

ANOTHER NECRID HORSEMAN!

A little disappointed, I play another character, OMG Happy Another Birthday Present, B blue box with yellow ribbon!! My heart race, hoping to find a different mini pet in this one, I approached it cautiously, slowly I untie the knot on the present, and putting the wrappers away nicely folded. The little creatures pop its head out to say hi. I fed it to the Lesser Grasps in Shing Jea instantly because ITS ANOTHER MINI NECRID HORSEMAN!

All my surprise and fun gone down the drain and I had to quickly come here and complain about it.

Pease! have some sense why would I keep 5 NECRID HORSEMAN?

(note: i have not play this account for a long time, because its the secondary and because I wanted to give these character the festival hat, that I log in, thats how I have 3 birthday present waiting for me, only to get disappointment)

i have to say, by all means give my 5 bone dragons, or 5 gwens, sooooo yea /notsigned, thats just the name of the random game, you just have some serious bad luck.

um bone dragons sell for like 100k at least and gwens are even more ridiculous so yea i want to get a lot of those to sell,

Its called random generations, and of course the Minipets that arn't as good are gonna show up more often, thats all part of the game. Please stop complaining about free stuff and go and trade your multiple or sell them. I know I buy alot of people minis cause they have multi or just dont like em.

BTW sorry bout your luck 5 of 1 mini does kinda suck. (Unless its Gwen cause that = ur rich)

I'd agree with you on this on one condition. Once you get a mini, lower the chances that you'll get it a second time. You might still get 4 devourers in a row, but you'd have to be playing GW under a ladder near a black cat crossing for it to happen.

thanks for understanding, I don't intend to sell them nor do I want 5 Gwen, I just want variety, I keep my mini pets all of them, I don't sell stuffs actually, for your info, I often give them away or sell to merchant. My opinion, Gwen is Gwen, if i want to see her skip around, I'd go to pre sear Ascalon, A-net should have made her play the flute instead of skipping around. that would make her uber cool with the flute.

And I still stand by my original idea of Anet not giving same pets to same account. Its just stupid. On one hand you want to control so players don't exploit the system like using bot to farm for gold and destroy the in game market, on the other hand you create situation where people have to buy online, the in game gold to purchase item that is rare *ROLL EYES* what is the matter with you!?

if you are loyal to guild wars and play for 20 years you'll eventually gets 20 different mini pets/birthday present instead of greedly coveting what other people have DUH!

When you gamble at slot machines, you have a chance of getting the cherries a lot because they're the most common even though it's a random spin.

You have a chance to get a Necrid Horseman, a Fungal Wallow, and a Whiptail Devourer a lot, because they're most commonm, even though it's a random draw.

Don't complain because when you draw straws there are more than one straw then the other. It may seem that the people on guru complaining about this are high in numbers, but considering the other thousands of players that are NOT complaining about it...

Wow jeez, you're lucky to even get a birthday present, so stfu and just live with it, they could just make it so you don't get one at all.

i think they made the minipets so people have something to look forward to

I like that it's random. It may be bad luck to get lots of the same, but that's the name of the random game. You can get the same hand in poker three times in a row. It's not likely, but it's possible. Same concept. You get what you get, and if it's changed there will be more complaints because so and so wants this...and if this exists why can't they jsut give me this...You get my gist...

So they need to recode the minipet generator to allow for multiple characters on one account so it checks them all before generating a minipet.

Is that easy ? is it possible ?

If you sell a pet should it remember you used to have it and not give another the same ?
