Raisu Palace HM. How is this to be done? I am currently running this build, have been using it for everything HM up to this point:
Me - Lod, Infuse, Channeling, Seed of Life (SS PvE Skill), Dwaynas Kiss, Words of Comfort, Celest skill, Res Chant (I have been using this for most HM areas)
Olias - SS, Mark of Pain, Barbs, Desecrate Enchantments, Defile Enchantments, Cry of Frustration, Res Sig, Diversion
Master Whisp - Jagged Bones, Bone Minions, Vamp Horror, Verata's Sac, Botm, Res Chant, Diseased Flesh, Sig of Agony
Norgu - Cry of Frustration, Diversion, Power Block, Channeling, Barbs, Rend Enchantments, Faintheartedness, Enfeeble
Guildie - Aegis, Seed of Life, Infuse, RC, Channeling, celest skill, Prot Spirit, Rebirth
Zhed - Maelstrom, Shard Storm, Vapor Blade, Shatterstone, Water Attunement, Ice Spikes, Res Sig, Arc Echo
Sousuke - Meteor Shower, Teinai's Heat, Searing Heat, Fire Storm, Fire Attunement, Res Signet, Glyph of Sacrifice, Assassin's Promise
Zenmai - Deadly Paradox, Shadow Form, Heart of Shadow, Arcane Echo, Return, Res Sig, Cry of Frustration, Dash
My group is self -explanatory, Lod, Heavy SS curser, jagged MM to go with MoP and barbs cast by olias, and mob control mes
guildie's group is the damage really - prot, water nuking for better spike and control, sousuke as power nuker with sin's promise, and zenmai as temporary tank.
my guildy and I have excellent control over the heroes - zenmai's SF tanking works pretty well, and I can use olias pretty well too.
But we simply get SPANKED by the warriors and the elementalists. It's like the warriors wade right through the MM army, and open our mid-backline up to the Shiro'ken eles, who starburst spike. game over. Also, my damage output doesn't seem to be very high...the enemies take time to kill :P
Any suggestions?

You want a human ele. Echo chaining celestial storm can give you 5 celestial storms for every boss you kill. As nearly every fight you have in Raisu Palace involves a boss, that's a LOT of damage. I henched it on my ele with 10 minutes to spare.
Basically, you want your ele to hit the boss as their very first target - by the third celestial storm the boss will almost certainly die (undoubtedly along with some other enemy mobs), recharging all skills. The timer probably hasn't ticked over on echo / arcane echo yet, so you get to recast those versions of celestial storm AGAIN for free on whichever mobs are left. Save the "real" one for the next boss, by which time you should have echo / arcane echo recharged and can start the same cycle again. Let the ele do his own thing in this fashion, and call your own targets for the rest of the group as you see fit to minimise deaths. It's usually enough to blind / weakness melee and rangers, while letting minions soak up the aggro. By the time minions are losing the fight, most of your enemies will be dead.
Feel free to hit me up for help if you see me on, and I'm free. IGN to left.

Blind + Melee = ineffective melee. A very handy tool while vanquishing. I agree, the celestial skill would be nice, but so would some midline defense in the form of melee hate, either from an illusionist mesmer with a good ineptitude/epidemic build for spreading around blindness and protecting your monks and casters, or an air ele blinder. While I'd prefer that a human does this job on my team, norgu and zhed actually do a decent job.
Not that I'm disputing the prior poster, but it's something to file away for other very difficult zones where the melee can be devastating to your casters and prevent them from doing their jobs. And while minions are great they're more of a liability if your necromancer is constantly biting it. So yeah... defense... blindness ftw.

I'll gladly help you out if I'm on, and not in the middle of something else.

i do life barrier bonder with like mantra of inscriptions, and had like 1 or 2 real warriors, and i completed it 2 times now. life barrier helps a ton vs all the ele dmg. a broad head arrow ranger also helps a lot, that and epidemic, and you can keep all the eles interupted. and yea echo works good for the offensive celetsial skills
Miss Puddles
i completed this with:
BHA/lightning reflexes (me)
barrager
tahlkora: rc/extinguish
woh monk
mm
damage warrior
nuker
speed is definitely the key here. keep moving, heal up as you're getting to the next group. bring danika and talon and you're set.

Feel free to hit me up for help if you see me on, and I'm free. IGN to left. This same strategy also applies to Vanquishing the area in hard mode. Just beware of pop ups by the bosses and blue portals and try to pull them if you can with a longbow. Once you kill the last boss, only use your celestial in dire emergencies.
