If there were new things in the store what would you want?

Hey everyone!
I got an idea after seeing the bonus pack for GW:EN
and I thought we should give anet some great ideas for more stuff at the store!
but before posting please read:
1. only post things that are not related to guildwars money
2.)do not post things that would give players an edge in PvE or PvP(anet wouldnt make special stuff for PvP anyways wouldmake stuff un balanced)
3.)try adding a reasonable price for the items

now here are my ideas

Untradable mini pets very simply mini pets that cannot be traded and cannot be aquierd in game (to protect enconomy they shouldnt be tradeable)
ex
Mini Me
Mini kisu
mini gaile gray!

special character dances Anet i know you guys love to boogy so why not show us your moves with your own creation

Wepon skins now when i say this i do ot mean rare wepons i mean a costume for you wepon ever wanted to swing a lunch box with a huge stick tide to it as a hammer? well if anet makes this we'll get to wail on charr with lunch boxes woo!

BONUS MISSIONS for like 5 USD's each omg! special hour or somthing long missions full of puzzles and enemies and mabey you can include special rewards at the end

hey anet why not just sell masks in the store? for like 1 USD each?

Yeah, maybe some exclusive minis, extra storage space... I dunno, maybe some physical benefits too, like... posters? An art book full of concept sketches/notes from GW campaign development? Shirts might be pushing it, I think.

I can see where they'd like people to use their store, but they never offer any decent extras. I bought character slots so I could have the bonus mission thing, but I'd much rather have spent it on a minipet, poster, or silly in-game top hat or something.

What I'd like the most is a "thick" Artbook and/or a Databook with the complete Lore, Concept Arts, Sketches, Renders, of all the Characters, Locations and etc covering from the original Prophecies to the upcoming GWEN.

If only sticking to stuffs that applys ingame only... as long as they are all pre-customized and non-tradeable...

old collector edition items (anything >= 6 months old)
old emotes/auras/dancenews (anything >= 6 months old)
old event/birthday minipets (anything >= 6 months old)
old event masks (anything >= 6 months old)
basically, anything >= 6 months old after their respective novelty ran off can do.

However, the Online Store really should NOT sell any online exclusive items that are otherwise unacquirable ingame.

I have an idea for a new character:

think a druid-like person that shape-shifts. Like there are different shapeshifting skills including special elites, and there are attacks for all or a group or just one creature. No ideas for a human-form wep tho. Any thoughts??? im open for criticism

I would buy a book containing a lot of text related to the lore. I would buy concept art... in a book form thank you.

I would buy storage tabs for storage

I honestly wasn't at all knowledgeable about Guild Wars when I first bought it. I just heard it was a great game. I went to the store, picked up first copy I saw and started to play. First thing I notice was many characters were glowing when they did emotes. So I was really pissed I did not get the collectors edition. I would like to be able to upgrade my key or account to collectors edition so I can also get the glow and new dances. I think they should offer this to players like me who were not knowledgeable about CE.

The store needs to sell extra storage space for a set price. That would then shut up all the people who still winge they havent got enough space.

But they should still have a max limit to prevent server issues.

Well if Anet would implement some way for people to sell upgrades (trader) i wouldn't "winge" but as they don't i only have 2 pages of storage

You only have 2 pages of storage completely or left to use?

If completely then you're kind of missing the point! Its a sales technique to make you buy another campaign to get another 20 slots.

If you only have 2 pages left... thats still 40 slots... my god how will you fill them *homealonemirrorslap*!!!

You do get 80 slots in total, which is quite alot, which is why I say "winging". IMO people should be greatfull for Anets storage update, but people still complain its not enough.

So hence let people buy more in the shop, using money and shut them up.

Additional item bonus upgrades like the Millennium edition pack.

The precedent is there. That pack gives access to (from memory so maybe wrong) about 6 or 7 max items - offhands and weapons. At the moment the above pack only really caters to some of the classes.

I would certainly buy other packs, if offered in the store, which expanded upon the items available to different classes and/or additional items for all classes. (i would also buy more storage if offered)

I'm currently unable to buy anything there, but I would have bought the weapon pack. Also some more storage, especially rune/insignia storage would be nice. Other cool storage options would be dye storage, quest item storage, armor storage and red iris flower storage (Just kidding on last one)

The only problem with selling in game items, such as mini's, weapons, and armor is that some will perceive it as a divergence of the "free play" model that ANet currently uses. While it is true that technically you pay for content when you buy the game, if too many "bonus items" are charged for, you'll end up hearing a lot of grousing. It's one thing to include perks in game releases. It's another entirely to say, "Hey! You can get a one of a kind Green Faery (no joke, I so very want one..) for just 9.99 at our online store!"
I envision more tactile media being sold at the store. Much as mentioned...T-shirts, books, figurines, and the like.
Now for software, I DO think that something that would sell very well would be an actual program to modify game content. As it stands, people are all ready making mods for their personal (no one else can see it) game skins. I think they would do well to create a sanctioned program to create such mods and sell it online. They make money, you get to skin content however you like, and the integrity of the graphic style of the game is preserved. Everybody wins.

I would pay 5 to 10 bux for a mini pet pouch

To hold all my mini pets.
It would hold only one of each kind.
It would be accessable via the Inventory panel
And all chars would be able to access it (Except in pre-searing that would just be wrong)
You can only modify the contents of the pouch in a town
And it would be easily codeable to rule out pre-searing in general by only enable the pouch if you have your storage unlocked (pay 50g) for that char.

Kind of like a marble bag, but for MINI PETS!!!!

I would love to be able to show off any of my pets ANYTIME without switching chars 10 times

I would want:
- Actual use for the PvP editions, like unloking all the non-elite skins for all PvP characters or being able to choose pets or something.
- Weapon sets for each profession. They would be one item per attribute. All unique skins. Price? Around 3..4€.
- Rename tokens. They will appear in the inventory, and would allow one name change per month for a character when used: "Double click to rename your character". For 5...10€. All the users with your name in their guilds or players lists (friend, ignore, etc) would be warned of the change.
- Remake tokens. They would allow one total revamp of the character appearance per month. For 2..5€

And for the Xunlai storage:
- A Promotional items tab. With slots with the prootional items you have and you can take out. The ones that can be made only once become grayed once you pick the item. This would not include miniatures. 0..2€
- A Miniature tab. This will have one slot per existing miniature, and all of them would be grayed until you put a miniature inside. Any miniature that can be created once (Like Varesh, Kuunavang and Asura woulda ppear here instead in the promotional items tab) 0..1€
- A Customized items tab. It would fit much more items that the other tabs, but would allow customized items only (namely weapon and armors) 0...5€
- Extra storage. Each extra storag slot would grant you 20 more storage slots. 5..10€

Stuff i'd buy in the Shop:

- the past Minipets, and stupid exclusive stuff like those special weapons/shield of this dumb Coca cola promotion that was ever japan/taiwan whatever only, and those minipets, which were sold by pc mags, like the grey giant.

- certain event hats, i hate it that i cant get back the hats i once hat with an old chara i had to delete and those god damn hat npc's give out only copies, when u bring them 1 original of U, why cant those stupid NPCs dont just sell COPIES -.-

- every kind of preoder shit ... i missed the stupid factions one, it was so quick sold old, that i had no chance ... i want the special 2 weapons from it for the dervish and the paragon. the scythe of it is imo atm the only one, that looks really good

- very good looking plastic figures of GW mosnters/Characters ... so in genereally franchise is good, so T-Shirts, Caps ect r good

- fluffy toys

- rename/make stuff as mentioned above

- more storage space with tabs exclusive for miniatures,upgrades, insignias, runes, dyes, armor sets (so that it becomes possible to collect more then 1 armor)

- other originally stuff, like a GW Card Game about Mosnters (magic the gathering style)*franchise*

- unlocking vor Pvp Weapons/Armors (Skins)

- unlocking Skills for pve making skills for the whole pve part of the account unlocked, but only normal Skills, no elites

- unlocking special bonus quests

- unlocking special unique drops like special kind of stuff thats drops very rare, but sells good at npc's, like that monsters don't drop then only little sums of gold coins, that they can drop then too for example bars of Gold, which will sell at the NPC's for example direct ever at 1 Platin and when a monster drops a realy rare bar of Platin, this will sell then at fixed price at npc's for example for 15 Platin, and this stuff will be then needed to make a unique kind of armor set, but the stuff is tradeable, so that other players can make them too.
*im missing somehow more metals as materials .. atm, theres only iron and steel as for materials/rare materials, why not bring in with this Gold and Platin as rare materials for a new armor set.

- naturally as franchise too : > big nice colored posters of concept arts for example, those wonderful pictures which normally end up as PC-Background pictures.

there r tons of different things, people would be willing to buy, anet needs only to put the stuff into their shop and give the people more different choices how to pay then, then only per credit cards ... paying per smd would be an good start, but paying per normal EC Card should be in to or per simple online banking or by normal transfers and per debit. or even per paypal ...
so more different ways r there, so better in the end for the people, that r willign to buy in the shop

The one thing that I would like to buy would be the guidebooks. I bought the factions guidebook and absolutely love it! (it is kind of redundant now with all the skill changes but w/e). When nightfall came out, I called my local EB games every day for 2 friggin weeks, hoping it had come in, and every time they assured me, it was coming soon. I called bookstores, checked the internet, all assuring me that they would come soon. Finally after 2 months, I realised, that IT HADNT BEEN MADE YET. I have cried myself to sleep many nights because I did not have the Nightfall guidebook. So please anet, make the bloody guidebook! Better late than never...

Anyways......

The way I see things is that the only things that should be sold in the store are tangeable items such as games, artwork, and character slots (and guidebooks!). Mabye anet should create an in-game store where people can go and buy their exclusive minis and preorder weapons and old-school hats. The prices at this store could be ridiculously high, say 100k for a pre-order wep, thus creating another gold sink to balance out the economy, and then we can get rid of loot scaling!

Well, thats just my two cents

If I can make a list of things:

1. Upgrades for CE items.
2. Upgrades for CE Emotes.
3. Past and present mini-pets.
4. Past and present head gear.
5. Alternate Ranger pet skins: Alternate strider/moa colors, alternate Stalker colors and/or patterns, snow wolves that are light cream/white in color, New skins: Emu, Peacock (over Phoenix), Scorpian, Snakes, Razor-Back Hogs, Hounds, (Killer Chihuahua's?), Unicorns/Kirin, Ape, Komodo or other Dragons, etc.
6. Armor and Weapon Storage.
7. Tome Storage.

Guild /Alliance functions.

say for $9.99
Ability to edit your guild hall layout and add a number of free unique services.
Ability to buy new types of NPC henchmen for Halls.
Ability to have events in the halls for special times, Like Fireworks, or games, whatever...

There are more things like a second chest and character redesign (change hair, and face ect) that would be interesting to offer, but the code for it would be really complex. Especially the 2nd chest, cause it would entail extending the SQL tables yet again for every character.

Well... it has been already told that the collector edition stuff will never be available, but if it paid by, let's say 4 times the price in the original version, I don't think it would be really a problem.

It's fair not to get it if you knew it was there and you could purchase it, but you didn't, but there is a lot more people that didn't knew, or could not, but now they can. And they only choice is eBay, and we don't like people getting account codes in eBay.

So letting people to update to 1..2 years old preorder and collectors would be fine with me, as long as they are available 1 or 2 years after the release, so collectors owners can show off their stuff.

By the way... I would alo like to see /dancenew for the 6 core professions.

"More storage or a weapon mod Trader NPC." really belong in a different thread, as that's not really something you can get from the Store.

The ability to merge accounts, split accounts, send characters from account to account (potential nightmare), or a PVP pack that has Core, Prophesies, Factions, Nightfall, and GW:EN skills. (Though that suggestion might be a month or two premature.)

And altho this would kinda defeat the purpose of the HoM, money for accomplishments/titles. I don't support this, BTW. Master Cartographer, MAYBE.

Some of things I would really HATE to see sold:
-gold, any items, armors, minipets, heroes, missions...
-anything that gives advantage over people that dont buy it (like suggested in this forums increasing hero limit in party),
-anything that can affect ingame economy (like any bonus item packs further decrease the demand for items that drop ingame),
-overpriced small content packages (like the 'bonus' mission pack, which shouldn't exist at this form)
- scam-packs which get sold as something unknown, then stop being sold after revealing what it really is (same infamous example)

What I'd like to see:

-a big comprehensive content package worth its price! Something that can be called a complete product. Something like a future expansion, Guild Wars Expansion-2, including 9 new dungeons, 50 new skills, 20 new armors, etc. sold for ~20$ - if the amount of content is half of a full expansion it should cost half the price, the price should be proportional to the amount of content included.

-make an Auction House (yay!) with full buying functionality and very limited selling ability (like a limit 1-2 items at once) free for everyone, and sell a Power Trader Package in the store, enabling extra features for sellers and greatly increasing the limit of items sold. I would certainly buy that!

-ability to rename a character or change appearance (no new exclusive looks though)

-ability to move a character into your another account (suggested by someone in another thread here)
