Petition for Rank bewtween officers + leader
Torino Cowell
( I checked post directory and found nothing about this there)
This petition has been made because I think there should be a rank bewtween leaders and officers so those you trust abit more can kick / demote officers , but aren't completely in control . this would stop immature behaviour from officers when leaders aren't online (As a guild leader myself , i have experienced this before )
This would also be a good way for those you really trust to have a bigger say in the guild , for example a person you know in real life or perhaps someone who you've played the game with all along could be this rank .
Generally this would have a postitive affect on your guild experience.

/signed for more, possibly even customizable ranks. It would be kind of neat to have your circle of generals, your inner circle of advisers, etc.
They could set it up to where you can type in the rank name ("Lieutenants" or "Personal Slaves" whatever goofy thing you'd like that fits your guild theme), and then have radio buttons or check boxes or whatever so the guild leader can decide which rank gets what power ("Edit Guild Announcement? y/n" "Let them add members to guild? y/n" "Let them kick members from guild? y/n" and so on).
Okay, I admit I kinda took Torino's idea and ran it off the field into the weeds somewhere, but I got a little excited. Thoughts?

Highly fond of the idea of customizable ranks. Would make things more structured and the pressure would be taken of off the guild leader, at least a little.

this sounds like a good idea, a rank i would like to see implemented would be a 'co-leader' or 'second in command' type one, so if 2 people start a guild together, one isn't stuck being an officer and has a slightly higher rank.
This would also help to deal with immature officers as mentioned above, and give those who you trust a bit more power.

Signed, but not for immature officers (this seems to be a hot topic today).
For me it would be a back-up to make sure a trusted and active player becomes leader when I am not able to login for 2 months.
The ability to stop someone kicking could be added, but this could also be a function three officers can share (one that marks for disable kick and two that approve).
When you don't manage to get 3 officers together fast, you should reconsider your promotions!

/signed. anything that would be different from the basic 1-2-3 ranking would be good...it would actually make a guild seemed like you were the one that made it. I've seen this idea before, but I seriously doubt they will implent this until, yup you guessed it. GW2.

lol, it would be funny to have a n00b rank.
Master Ketsu
it could be usefull, but not really needed. Stop promoting idiots to officer status. The only guilds Ive been in that had problems that would call for this in between rank have been guilds were the leader gave away officer status like it was candy.
Note that some of the most mature guilds have a policy where everyone is an officer.

I'm all for a "co-leader" that only one other person can have, similar to the status of a leader, only having no authority over the leader himself. Customizable ranks sounds interesting. Deciding what specific powers each rank has would be neat, but such a great feature would not come in an update. They would save this to encourage some people here at GW to migrate to GW2.

Customizable power might be a bit overwishing but that would be incredibly cool. Customizable title would be incredibly cool.

would be nice to have a distinction between the normal horde and guild members who were active, but not yet officer quality. My CS clan had 5 ranks, and that was basically broken down into recruitment and server control aspects.
Would also like to see the guild rosters of other guilds in the alliance.

if you dnt want people kicking people, demote them or dnt make them an officer in the first place. problem solved and you dnt have to screw up the game even more than it already is.

In our Guild only the Guild leader is allowed to kick members out, as she wants that responsibility alone,
I agree with the tim, dont make them an officer if you dont really trust them. I see plenty of guild recruitment going on "new guild blah blah, first 5 ppl to whisper me is made an officer"....i mean jeez how stupid is that?
I like the idea of the customisable ranks though, that could be fun
"title Wh*re"
"Master sergeant tea maker"
"guild Janitor"

But wont you just want a fourth rank when one of these kicks everyone, then a fifth rank when one of the fourth rank people kicks everyone, then a sixth . . . . . .
I still think best solution is don't promote people you don't know well enough

once one of my guildmates kicked all members as an officer(i was a member
and thought that i was kicked for some other reason and it will promote a little more authority^^ )
and sometimes even trusted officers whove been in for a while do this for being a little bit annoyed

and in my eyes this is not about "oh that officer kicked all the members" but as a way to further show how members rank, cause i have some officers that should be higher than others cause they are devoted and great players, and i have some members that should be ranked higher than the others but are not quite officer material. that is what i think this will address.

I automatically hate the tim because I got kicked outta one of my guilds by a corrupt officer. That one got seriously punished (stripped of rank inside the guild and forced to go through about 15 reinitiations into the guild to be allowed to stay inside) but it cost me a whole day of trying to contact the guild master to get back in.

But like someone has said, not signing because of immaturity , i mean we get this new rank , lets name it co-leader for a second and these co-leaders to the exact same thing the officers did, now what?
The kicking thing will not be solved by anything like this, the closest to a solution for that would be indeed multiple votes to kick someone.
But yes, i would love to have
*Leader
*Co-Leader ( as in more then one leader, or even better have it so you can have guilds made with the highest rank being Co-Leader , so in other words you have 3 Co-Leaders and none are higher then the other 2 and none can kick the one of the other 2 unless 2 of them vote on i t.)
*High Officer
*Officer
*Member
And yes costumizable powers would be nice too

/signed as in I believe there needs to be more tiers.
Id like tiers to be structed a little like this.
-Leader (all powers)
-Co-Leader (Only available in guilds with 35+ members) (same as guild leader but not above the leader)
-Officer (kicking lesser ranks, inviting powers, starting gvg match, cannot promote others to officer only as high as senior member)
-Senior Member (invite members, guest members, revoke guest pass)
-member (same as currently is)
-guest (same as is)

I like the idea . but perhaps members being able to invite members as well if leader could control privilidges each rank gets . but something like that would be good
