Access Key

Ok, well, i wanted guild wars so i asked my mother for my birthday and well, she found the game of the year edition at a pawn shop. Well, it came with an access key.. just not one i can use. When i tried to use it, it told me it was already in use. So now i have a used access key and not enough money to just go buy a new one. Can anyone help me out with this? I'm dieing to play.

You could challenge it through anet and "say" something like your account was stolen (Not recomended at all) and use the fact that you have the Acess code, if you do actually have the code like you say. Other then that I can only say that you should not buy anything involving a MMO or other online game that is not in a sealed package to prevent this in the future.

I know someplaces sale the game for about $30 now, like best buy and supposedly Sams club sell all 3 for around $50 USD

How would i get it through to them? I went to Arenanet and i can't find a place to send it to them. I've already been thorugh a couple links and i can't find one to challenge this.

although i doubt if you will win since it is against the EULA to sale or buy used CD Keys.

Best bet is to buy a legitimate copy of the game through an online store or local retail shop. You can often find prophecies (just called Guild Wars) or Guild Wars: Faction for under $30 now.

M8 the problem is simple u Bought the game at a pawn shop u probly got a used version with a use access key can u be that blind

i'm suprise no1 else noticed it was bought in a pawn shop the buy stolen crap and stuff from crack heads so i sure it was opend before he bought it

Corey, if you really read his post - he does tell you that his Mom bought it for him - probably in all innocence of what an online game like GW is and probably doing her best to provide for her son something that he wanted at a price she could afford. She was probably under the impression that it is like any other off line game on your PC. Give the guy a break.

Lusia: I do NOT suggest you try to get the game to work by lying to Anet. I would suggest that you explain the problem to your Mom and ask her to take it back and see if she can return it. If not then it really is a pity and I feel for you both. Then, as suggested by others, I would look around for the sales where you might find it going cheap.
