Buyback

So this happened to me today:

I'm selling off a few trash items after a mission, and due to the lag i would click and an item wound not sell

now normally when an item doesn't sell it's because you miss clicked the button or the item can't be sold or something

So i click it again and what happens? 5 seconds later my beloved Kanaxai's Edge is gone (and for less then 50g)

Now why can't there be a simple buyback system? - just one that saves everything you just sold until you close the window, I mean GW doesn't have the most user friendly selling window ever (as everything is just listed all in a row), so it would be really convenient to have a buyback window just incase

I don't know about most people, buy my inventory generally has a head for every skill, an extra armor set, salvage/indent kits, and 4-6 weapons/offhands -ie a lot of stuff that i would dearly miss if it got accidentally sold.

Now granted, this is probably the first time that i have sold something that i really wanted, but that's what buyback would be for-a little system to save you from a momentary lapse of judgment or a single missclick.

I accidentally double-clicked once and sold a dye for 1g. Sure, it was just yellow, but what happens if you do it with something rare/valuable/prized by you? I enjoy collecting dyes, and I still miss that one.

I really like the idea of the items being available for takebacks until you close the merchant window.

or you could simply put a quest item in your inventory, keep the things you want to keep before it and the things you want to get rid of after it. The merchant won't buy items that have ZERO value.

well this seems obscure to me why would the merchant want to do this so like your title sugests you should have to pay double what you sold it to him for kind of like a price for stupidity

Tips: put all your beloved weapons and stuffs in the 10 slots bags and pouch, un-check them when you are going to the merchant this way you will not accidentally sell anything.

If buy back is not implemented how about this, instead of buying back, you get a double confirm notice before closing any trade window, with merchant or with another players. something along the line of you are about to close a deal with so and so, these are the things you have agree to sell for said amount of gold, are you sure you want to leave now? yes and no buttons. this prevents players from scamming as well

the problem for at least me is i generally have 7 or so armor pieces (an extra set and then a few heads), 5 more weapons not in use, and stacks of keys and such

one bag doesn't cut it sometimes

QFT.

On topic, I do what Pumpkin does, but sometimes you miss something and you end up selling it, like my only semi-decent hammer >_>

like I said, a simple item with 0 value will solve the issue, just put it in between the stuff you want to sell and the stuff you want to keep

I remember accidentally selling 25 ecto to a merchant while I was clearing my inventory. I realized afterwards... I got so pissed.

Edit: They have this system in WoW... well I think they do.

I've sold quite a few Sup. ID kits (The last item in my backpack that buffers my sup. Salvage kit) becuase of lagged induced selling. Not to big of a loss.. but dang, it's annoying to sell an ID kit that still has 89 uses left.
