Pet in pre-searing

I searched and couldn't find a question like this, so

If I use charm animal in pre-searing to charm a pet, without accepting the quest reward, and I am not a primary ranger, then go and sample another professions skills (talk to the secondery profession giver), and if i went back and got the ranger skills again, would the pet still be charmed, or would I have to charm a new one?

Your pet will still be yours, but your pet only comes with you when you have Charm Animal in your skill bar. If you're a Monk in pre, for example, and charm a Melandru's stalker, but then choose to take Mesmer as a secondary, when you have the opportunity to change to Monk/Ranger, and take Charm Animal with you, your Melandru's stalker will be with you. ^.^

if you dont accept the other secodnary profession trainer skills u shud be able keep it normally...despite doing other professiosn quest.

but if you swap skills same time as quest u lose pet ..that wud be logic as u no more have the ranger skills.

so yes u can do other secondary profession quest keeping pet but only no acceptign the skills.or u lsoe it.

Thanks for the quick reply, I was just wondering about this, becuase i know that once you are able to change professions, your pet stays with you, but in pre-searing, you don't actually keep the skills so I was wondering if it would still be the same. Thanks!
