I got through Raisu palace... but these three all confound me with the damage output from enemies. It's all mainly afflicted, and they all spike in a similar fashion. I'm running 2 human Heroway, with me as a human monk.
Me - Bonder
Tahl - LoD w/ Prot S
MastOW - Jagged mm w/ death nva
Margrid - BHA, Savage shot, distracting shot, apply poison to spread
Guildy - A/me Shadow form earth tank - (does not work well in theory, is exeptional in practice)
Olias - SS/MarkPain/Barbs
Zhed - Shatterstone/Vaporblade/Maelstrom water ele
Razah - (I think this is the weak link) Mighty was Vorizun, Weapon of Remedy, Life, Union, Displacement, resto spells
Our damage output is ok.....margrid zhed olias normally seem to provide the majority of dmg. Master and Razah can't get set up though. Razah's spirits just die, and jagged bones doesn't really seem to work, especially in Vizunah. and we just get spiked like nothing, as if my bonds weren't up. I'd say it's aggro control....but in Vizunah, the first part with being surrounded doesn't afford aggro control really.....tips on a better team build? LoD also seems insufficient to cope with HM.

One thing I tried at Tahnnakai Temple, and what works quite well is using Greater Conflagaration and Winter and having Mantra of Frost on all your Heroes to reduce damage by ~40%.

I didn't have massive problems henching any of these, although I'd hate to do it as monk. One of the things I found in HM is that you need to pay much more attention to tactics, target calling and the like, and I would imagine that this is bloody hard while also trying to monk.
There is a superb guide for Vizunah somewhere in this forum - I mostly followed it and got masters on Monday. The key things are to leave from foreign quarter, let the mobs come to you - don't chase them, to bring 2 MMs and to position yourself carefully in the first and second rooms so that you aren't flanked by incoming spawns (ie you're relying on minions to be meatshields).
Sunjiang really isn't hard at all with proper aggro control. You have loads of time, and you can pull the end bosses one by one if you run to the bottom corner when the cutscene ends. Where in this mission are you wiping? Tahnnakai took me a couple of tries, but really you don't do anything very different to what you would do in normal mode in this mission, just have to be a bit more precise.
Only thing I think looking at your build is it's a bit defensive. You probably want to get a bit more damage going on - particularly in Vizunah. Jagged Bones definitely does work - I used it in all these missions. I think heroes are more likely to harm you with use of maelstrom than help you, unless you micromanage them closely. I'd also say it's probably redundant if you're also bringing BHA. Finally - do you have enfeebling blood, and some way of spreading other damaging conditions? ie epidemic. They both help a lot.

The build originally was less defensive....more SF ele, RC Prot instead of bonder...cookie cutter really...but we'd just get manwiched. Tahnnakai is more manageable...it's the rit boss and the first and last aggro that get me...the last boss is just ridiculous in terms of aggro control. Sunjiang is ok...it's just a couple rooms that I have trouble with. its Vizunah where I get spanked. The placement of the parties in the center, it simply hurts in terms of aggro. I know my build is flawed...any suggestions?

Temple Guardians are nasty little gits if you don't lure carefully.
The only other real problem for the Afflicted Missions are the Ritualists if you don't kill them fast enough, the res is frigging annoying if they keep bringing warriors back to life and the Elementalists who spike insanely well.
Trying to get 2 teams on Vizunah is best, even if they're 2human 6 hero teams. Getting 2 decent hero MMs going along with maybe a trapper and some good damage the mission a breeze along with plenty of res signets. missions like that you fail more because anyone who does die isn't ressurected fast enough than anything.

Suggestions: I think a tank is unnecessary if you are managing your hero MM properly. Your assassin companion would do better with a DPS build. Minion luring tends to involve flagging your team back, using a bow to snag a mob and running back. Hopefully your minions will run into the first enemies halfway.
Be more careful with luring in Tahnnakai than you would in NM. You can separate mobs from construct bosses in all rooms, including the first and last. In the first aggro if you feel you have to then you can even hide behind the wall at the door you come in through so the rangers can't hit you. You can pull the eles away from the rit boss, which makes the fight much easier, although it is essential that your minions take the brunt of the heat here. At Vizunah, try to have a human ranged attacker or caster to call targets (eles first, then rits, then work through the rest). You're mobbed with warriors, assassins and rangers, so Aegis, Shields Up! and condition spreading of blind or weakness neutralises most of the threat. If you can do that then you can concentrate on spiking down eles (and particularly Kam if he turns up) as your #1 priority.
Finally, try out the rit MM build - it really works staggeringly well in HM where the benefit isn't so much the damage that they do with attacks, but their value as a meatshield. With the rit build, they not only do damage when they die through deathnova, but also do damage AND heal your party / remove conditions when they're created. It really is pretty sweet.

The exact same thing happened to me at tahnakai temple, my party consisted of:
1 SS
2 splinter barrage with EoE (me)
1 LoD monk
1 monk
1 Ele
2 warrior
Everything went extremely well and having two warriors was very good, they bodyblocked EVERYTHING and tanked very well, but we eventually wiped when we were at the rit boss because when u pull the grp, everything comes at you.

I think for Vizunah Square I used a Minion Master build like this:
[skill]Animate Bone Minions[/skill][skill]Animate Bone Fiend[/skill][skill]Blood of the Master[/skill][skill]Order of Undeath[/skill][skill]Infuse Condition[/skill][skill]Dark Bond[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
For the rest we had 3 Monks I think, 2 Healers (one Healer's Boon Monk and the other was Light of Deliverance or Word of Healing), and a Protector with Restore Condition as Elite.
Then two Elementalist with Searing Flames /yawn, and me and my friend were both as Warrior.

Me and some friends managed 23 mins HM on Visunah Square by using 3 MM's (All with Aura of The Lich, of course) and 4 Searing Flames Elementalists. I don't believe we used any real monks because hero monks will heal members from the other team aswell.
As someone mentioned earlier, target afflicted ritualists first (Slap anyone that says you should attack afflicted monks first, they do nothing). The ritualists are the real healers and use Flesh of My Flesh (Albeit at the wrong times, such as when they are half-dead).

Thanks for the replies...In Tahnnakai I rolled with a HBoon, LoD (both with PS), 1 Jagged MM, 1 FG MM, 2 Evis Axe Wars, 2 SF. We used glyph of sac and Meteor showered the rit boss before he could heal/spike. I used this same build for Sunjiang and everything was peachy, masters on both. I tried the same thing at Vizunah...no luck. We just get swarmed from all sides...I think though that it was the other team that lead to our demise, so I'm going to try again tonight.

PM me if you need help with a mission. I just did Vizunah Square on Hard Mode again, with me as Triple Axe Warrior, a Healer's Boon Hero, a Restore Conditions Hero, the Necromancer Hero with the build I posted earlier, a Barrage Ranger, a Searing Flames/Meteor Shower Hero, and two Paragons for extra defence and healing.
Made it easily under Master's time limit.

Is there some reason you're not just bringing greater conflag and mantra of flame?
We used that combo to get through the Zen Daijun mission with heroway.

Vizunah was reasonably tough-ish. We coordinated 2 HM teams, one from each quarter. about 3-4 humans with each team and the rest heroes. One team took a load of Savannah Heat eles, and the other team took 2 Aura of the Lich MMs. 2 Monks each side, ans Razah churning out protective spirits. We breezed through it and got masters with a good while to spare.

For Vizunah, I wouldn't use Jagged Bones on a MM. There are so many corpses that keeping a full minion army up shouldn't be a problem at all.
One other thing that I found to work very well in Vizunah is a Well spammer. Again, there are so many corpses, that they can fuel both one or two MMs and enough wells to cover most of the fighting areas. Well of Blood is insanely effective there, because both teams and all the minions benefit from it.

Greater Conflagration = All physical damage becomes fire damage. Elemental damage is unchanged.
Greater Conflagration + Winter = All phyical damage and all elemental damage become cold damage.

Aegis and wards are your friend in vizunah, since they come from all sides it worked best for me to turtle and wait for them to come.

Any suggestions for hero/hench team with human warrior player for Tahnnakai Temple? I tried many various hero builds but hardly can get through first room with mesmer boss. Two rits + monk afflicted have insane heal capability and pack of rangers completely shut down my caster heroes. Because its first room, my mm hero suffers from lack of bodies and just useless.
But Vizunah was pretty easy. Just steamrolled through it with Olias as MM, Morghann as party support, Zhed as SF ele and henchies (fire ele, monk, rit, necro)

I don't know how much this will help you...but in terms of making your mm useful in circumstances where he isn't botming or making summons:
I have Aegis on him, at prot 8. You'd think it'd be a waste of slots, but with the energy he's got, Aegis can be easily chained by me and heroes.
Also...Rotted Flesh is pretty good overall on the hero. They know how to use it for aoe degen, and normally I end up killing everything faster because of the degen.

In vanquishing the three continents, I had Aegis on the bar of Olias (my MM) in every single area. It was exceptionally, exceptionally helpful and I also recommend it highly.
