Do bots need to buy another account to have so many chars or what? I don't understand the concept of the bots -_-

They just go out and kill those 3 warden groups just outside for drops. It mostly junks but when you do it over and over and over and over and over x 1,000, the golds do add up.
Oh I forgot! to mention this. "oh no! not another bot farming thread again!" angry red face and all that.

That's nothing... I accidentally came there and it was probably the rush hour... there wasn't a free space... 1 billion bots there and then until I prepared myself for a screenie most of them were gone (maybe they know when someone is taking a screenie so they hide )

And old location, 'theys' has been there for ages.
Every time you post a bot thread a farmer makes a new bot; stop the madness.

I've already been accidentally banned once (Bergen XP run), and I'm afraid to farm Altrumm Ruins for fear a 2nd ban - even accidental - may get my account taken away.

Am I likely to get banned just by being spotted there as a solo Mo/D20? I always wear my guild cape and sunspear title so as to stand out from the sea of "Afsdsa Dfdsfa" - type tattoed monks.

FWIW, I had my account returned to me overnight so it wasn't that big of a deal. More of an inconvenience than anything else. Just letting you know that repetitive mob farming is a "bot-like activity" and could put you at risk. My suggestion is to make your farming runs something longer than one mob out the door -> repeat. That's what bots do, and that's what you shouldn't (especially in high-bot areas where ANet is closely monitoring).
In my case, taking a longer, circular Warden farm route around Altrumm Ruins explorable with my Mo/D - ie. my usual run - will probably keep me safe from bot sweeps (if bots are really just farming the one group of Warden mobs out the door -> repeat), but there's no way in hell I'm going to test that theory. Not with GW:EN just around the corner.

Some ideas for not looking like a Bot to those watching for them:
Vary your route every time you go out. 3 seconds longer is not "income killing"
Bots don't use the mouse: so use mouse-click movement and not your keys.
Bots don't use the mouse: so activate your skills with your mouse.
Do not use the Town sign posts to find your way to the door.
Don't do the same run for 14 hours non-stop. Do some runs, go to your Guild Hall and use the merchant there a few times, chat to guildies, go farm another spot for a few runs, go do a quick mission (even if you've already done it) for half an hour then come back etc etc.
Bots are running on pre-set scripts which dictate the precise key-strokes to exit a town then kill the target mob/s then back to town then to merchant/rinse and repeat ad nauseum. So "bot like behavior" is probably doing the exact same thing until your eyes bleed. Vary your routine randomly and I doubt you'll have a problem.

also most bots are ran on the trial keys. that way they don't have to purchase an account.

Ah, Great. Altrumm ruins used to be good and not so bot infested, but now they have taken it over, leeched up all the good drops, and it'll be nerfed. Once again bots ruin a good thing.
I've got like, 2 sup vigors, 8 sapphires? and Tons of gold drops and materials from this place, not to mention like 2-3k from every run (Before HM and Loot scaling) So yeah, it drops/(dropped) good things.

Are there bosses just outside there?
Maybe they are farming tomes in hardmode.
I don't know.
And why is that Mo/Me is still so powerful for farming?
Honestly I think Monks are the most broken class in this game.
And Inspiration should have most of it's skills in the mesmer primary.
Are there people skill testing this game still? lol

Yeah its surely too efficient to have to waste a load of time on trial keys. It would take a good few hours to get to farming level (especially for bots such as the afore mentioned ones for the ruins which is a decent way into factions). Doubt they are boss farming (after all Stonereap has enchant removal which he'll use if close), way too risky. Most likely the same one/two mobs over and over as thats reliable enough to be left running without having to check-up on (you can tell some users don't check that regularly due to the time it often takes when something like a granite bot screws up and is just going in circles constantly).
Does that make those builds that can solo the smites in uw broken? What about any other farm combination such as E/D earth tanks? Considering its probably only the first few mobs any profession could be botted as its just tailoring the build for the mobs at an appropriate point. Its probably just monks as the 55 build has been around so long, only requires one campaign and is likely easy to script..

Sadly the hacked is true, but its not 100% of the numbers, they still buy the good olde fashion way, hell one gaming mag even quotes chinese gold farmers buy in bulk from some suppliers.
Don't d/l the latest 3rd party program to get an extra edge and never go to a site being spammed ingame.

I dont know what there is to farm but most recently I was in Rihlohn Refuge(spelling is off I think) but there seemed to be alot of N/As, with bot names, going into Flood Plain. and I did notice they all had bot like actions hint hint Anet. But I am really wonderiong what are they farming out there?
HawkofStorms
Attrium Ruins has wardens to farm. Not AT ALL new. I've been farming there for at least 9 months (there are mobs with only traper rangers, hammer warriors and restoration rits, no mesmer wardens at all). They used to be great (pre loot scaling) for materials like hides, fur, cloth, and leather.

As for the drops, it aint greens, golds, rune or purples. It's just drops. Merch fodder, at 50g each adds up when your farming 24/7 30days straight.
AceeBlueEagle
Yeppers. They farm the wardens and repeat/rinse. I watched a lot of them zone in and then appear over in Marketplace to sell to a non-faction controlled merch.
AceeBlueEagle
I noticed in Nightfall that they are using Shadow Form Eles/Necs running bots now as well.
With names like an epileptic seizure on the keyboard, they are kinda not that hard to miss.
I soooo wish I had admin rights in Gwars sometimes...
