Am I the only one?!?

OK, so I'm stupid for not reading the instructions before opening the "box" first. I was too excited to see what I bought.

I'm talking about the Game of the Year bonus weapons.

I bought it seeing what it came with and "opened" it with the first character I played that night.....

What I didn't know was that each of the weapons would automatically customize to that character upon opening not the account. My mistake. So I went back to see if there was anywhere that said this would happen. It said that it would unlock each of these items "on your account" not 'will automatically customize to the character you have open at the time.'

Now I have six weapons I can't use, can't drop, can't put in storage for later, and can't transfer to another character on my account. I can only destroy them (or leave them as inventory slots taking up valuable space).

In the future, please state exactly what will happen if the "/bonus" is typed. I feel like I was gypped. It won't cause me to stop playing GW, only my wife can do that, but I do feel let down.

If there is a solution I missed, quite possible, please let me know.

I'm pretty sure that when you type /bonus it will create them new and customized unlimited times. You can create the weapons for each of your characters.

therefore, any weapons you don't need on your character, just bin them and create them new for the next one.

Can you log onto another character and type /bonus and get them?

I've never had GOTY so I have no clue.

Yeah what pamelf said, you can just trash them if that character can't use them then go onto a differnt one and type /bonus again to get all the items on that one.

I have this on both accounts. Just type /bonus on the character you want to use it on and they will spawn as long as you have room in inventory.

Also, as long as your character doesn't have the item equipped, and it's not already in your inventory (not sure about storage), typing /bonus again will give you another. In other words, if you have a warrior and all NF heroes, type /bonus, give the shield to Koss, /bonus give shield to Goren, /bonus give the shield to your warrior.

Nice cheap way to outfit heroes. I give the spears to most of my casters for the extra energy and armor. Bad side of this is they will stand closer to the enemy due to the spear's shorter range vs. wands/staves.

It's not very obvious though, I'm sure a lot of people don't get how it works at first.

I have GOTY thing as well
It is account wide so any chars you create on the account just type /bonus
and it will appear in there inventory if there is room
and only way to get rid of them is put them in the trash bin.
If you wanted a weapon such as the nevermore bow later after you trashed one say a month ago
just type the /bonus again on that char and presto everything besides whats in your hand will be replaced.
It's total repeatable on all chars on that account.
The only reason there customized and therefore you can't drop trade ect is then you could sell em to players and prolly make a quid or 2
or get the mods off them and make money as well.

You can destroy the weapon as many times as you want and recreate it latter on.I have done this with my Ihathas bow several times and it customized to that char.

Remember aswell that heroes can use weapons customised to your characters too...

and if you give a hero a weapon and use the /bonus command again, it makes another one as if you'd deleted it... makes kitting out heroes a crap load cheaper

And yes, you can do it on all characters, not just one
