It's Saturday morning, and the lag is back...

3 days in a row now I've been getting lag spikes and d/c. The game has become unplayable. According to the forums and messages I get in-game, other players have been having these problems for weeks. Clearly whatever ANet is doing to sort this out isn't working...or maybe they aren't doing anything at all. EotN looks stunning, from what I've seen on the videos...but I won't be buying it. Why buy a game if you can't play it?

Ok bye......

Why make a new thread?
Why not just post in the other threads on lag?
Does anyone really care if you buy EotH?
Why am I still at work?

wow you've been having lag!!!

What i don't understand is you say you've had the lag for 3 days and that makes it clear Anet doesn't care
Try giving them time, last time i checked they didn't know exactly where the problem was and they were doing their best to locate and fix it

If you rage quit after every lag spike maybe internet games arn't for you, Lag happens in every internet game

Early this morning, NCsoft conducted maintenance at our data center in Frankfurt, Germany in a continuing effort to resolve latency issues experienced by those playing on or through the European servers. The problem is not internal to Guild Wars, but rather was related to data center routing gear. The hardware vendor identified an issue in the routing software that was patched during the maintenance. Early indications are that this has resolved the issue but the network teams at both ArenaNet and NCsoft will continue to monitor and work with the vendor if further measures are needed to resolve the matter.

In other news, some European players may have experienced a disconnection from the game at around 19:00 GMT this evening. We do not know the reason for this momentary disconnection, but our data shows that players were able to reconnect and play without trouble after the incident. We are working with hardware vendors and ISPs to determine the possible cause of the disconnect and to take whatever steps we can take to prevent it happening again in the future.
