Currently, the game has two names por materials:

Crafting Materials.
Rare Crafting Materials.

But actually there are three types:

Crafting Materials.
Manufactured Crafting Materials.
Rare Crafting Materials.

What are the manufactured crafting materials?
Are those that can be made in artisans and can be salvaged into other materials:
*Bolt of Damask
*Bolt of Linen
*Bolt of Silk
*Clay Brick
*Deldrimor Steel Ingot
*Elonian Leather Square
*Leather Square
*Lump of Charcoal
*Roll of Parchment
*Roll of Vellum
*Spiritwood Plank
*Steel Ingot
*Tempered Glass Vial
*Vial of Ink

This way people would know that they can get them in artisans just by looking at the description.

It would just by a change in their descriptions, nothing else.

I can't see why not, should be an easy thing to change and useful at least for those who aren't familiar with those materials.

I like this idea. If it weren't for the wiki, I would've been so lost trying to gather enough vellum for my monk's sexy armor.

On second thought, there could be another change for them.

Currently, you have to purchase all rare materials one by one, and common materials 10 by 10.

Manufactured materials could be purchased in packs of 5. Since they are 'not so rare' materials.

And of course, there could be an NPC in the guild hall, and each single recipe could be purchased in the Guild Lord by 10k.
You buy ine recipe, you get the NPC, you buy more, they appear in the NPC...

Another nice comodity...
