im not sure if this has been disscused yet, but im going crazy about it. is it just me or does the Shodow Army bear a striking resembalence to the white mantle? at first i thought they just looked the same, but then i saw the white matle emblem on the shadow army spellcaster armor! whats the deal?

Anet simply used the same skin for the Shadow Army spellcasters. As far as i know there are not yet any ties between Menzies's Shadow Army and the White Mantle.

What if the shadow army are taken from the future (or time flows differently in FoW and RoT) and aid Menzies in fighting his brother. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mursatt were his allies as they don't seem to have a god.

There's no reused skins in lore, you're right. Unfortunately, there are reused skins in games. Ever noticed how abyssals look like trolls? Reused skins.

Easily explained. Abyssals are simply the souls of disgruntled Mountain Trolls, who were killed by farmers. After death, recruiters working for Menzies convinced them that by joining the Shadow Army, they could have revenge on the farmers who so callously sent the into the afterlife.

A while ago we got a rather depressing article on the state of things by GW2. It states that Ascalon is still in the toilet, and Kryta STILL has White Mantle causing mischief (for a whole century?!). The only kingdom that got better was Deldrimor.
Perhaps in the future, the White Mantle will get aided by Menzies. He will smite the Mursaat (sadly) and will "persuade" ("I CAN DO THE SAME TO YOU IF YOU DON'T WORSHIP MEH!") them to join him. He will give them SuperPowers.
Then you will realize that "Shadow Army" is only their mortal name. The actual name, used by them and Menzies, is "X'thka" or "BLACK MANTLE".

I bet there are quite a few more. There may be no reused skins in lore, but there is also no lore in reused skins. Not everything that looks, sounds or smells similar has to be connected.
