The Lowest of the Low

There was another thread that recently compared two types of (allegedly) annoying players. Reading the thread, I thought one was clearly worse than the other, but the person posting was arguing the opposite. This got me to thinking about the various types of annoying play and which types I thought were worse than others. That led me to first build a list of player types and then to go categorize them. I was curious as to what other players thought. Who really annoys you in the game? Who do you think has a bad rap? Which of these annoying player types do you most resemble yourself?
Without further ado, here is the list in alphabetical order followed by my personal ranking.
The list of annoying GuildWards player types:
Account Hacker – Using keyloggers and other means, steals players accounts.
Beggar - Uses local or alliance chat to ask for gold, materials that he could get by playing.
Botter (personal) – Runs automated programs to afk farm in-game gold for personal use.
Fanboy – Defends every aspect of the game. Attacks even the mildest criticism.
Farmer – Spends significant in-game time repeating areas for drops.
Gold buyer – Purchases farmed gold from Gold Sellers with cash.
Gold seller (professional botter) – Sells farmed gold for cash.
Guild Hopper - Skips from guild to guild getting what benefit he can before jumping to another.
Leecher – Joins group and then contributes zero. Wants to profit from the work of others.
Local chat Spammer – Repeatedly, rapidly posts the same message killing the chance for casual conversation.
Loner - Anti-social types who only ever play with heroes or solo.
Newb – New player who haven’t learned the fundamentals of the game.
Noob – Long time player who haven’t learned the fundamentals of the game.
Outrager - Uses local chat for racist, sexual, politically extreme, etc. comments.
Perfectionist – Verbally rips teammates who make slightest error.
QQ’er – Complains constantly about every aspect of the game.
Rage Quitter/Saboteur – Gets mad and leaves party high and dry. The Saboteur will try to cause a party wipe instead.
Synch-farmer – Trys to “cheat” the random arenas by simultaneously joining.
Scammer – Prey’s on ignorant or foolish players to get their gold and items.
Scribbler - Draws crude images or fills minimap with rapidly drawn white lines.
Skill Nazi – Demands very specific builds and compliance or won't play.
Title Grinder - Repeatedly performs same activity for sole purpose of acquiring title.
Troll/Griefer – Provokes emotional reactions in others by unwarranted insults and attacks.
Here's my ranking from worst to, err, resembles me .
Truly Loathsome Account Hacker, Gold Seller, Scammer, Leecher
Pretty Horrible Gold Buyer, Outrager, Troll/Griefer
Fairly Annoying Botter (personal), QQ'er, Rage Quitters/Saboteur, Perfectionist, Local Chat Spammer, Guild Hopper, Scribbler, Beggar
Not really that bad Skill Nazi, Synch-farmer, Newb, Noob, Title Grinder, Loner
Confession Time Fanboy, Farmer (occasional)

whats the point in making a thread complaining about someone who was complaining. We know what we dont like and dont need you to make a list for us...
Lotrfish
The most annoying to me are leechers, rage quitters, and noobs. Newbs aren't bad as long as they are willing to follow instructions. Most of those are pretty bad, but a few I fail to see why they are bad at all.
I'm a skill nazi myself.

I think the farmer and loner ones are a bit ridiculous. It's how some play their game, and almost 100% of the time you wouldn't even know of their existence. I do agree with most, however, but some of them on there don't even affect anyone's game play but their own.

OP thanks for the list but... I think most of us are capable of figuring out what we like and dislike on our own, so yeah...

Lowest of the low...
I must be pretty low because I guild hop a lot. Not for your reasons though. Seems you have a low opinion of anyone who doesn't meet your 'criteria' of the perfect MMO player..**new flash** that person doesn't exist.
::Trundles off back to the corner::
Low indeed..

LOL... Funk I'm with you.... and apparently Malice
We're all responsible for our own emotions, and we have choices. If we feel annoyed toward someone else, we can use that as an opportunity to look for improvement in ourselves... because the truth of the matter is that when we let something about someone else bother us, it's because we've recognized something in ourselves that we don't like.

One problem with creating the list the way that I did - which was to think of every criticism I had ever read of another player on this very site - was that I was bound to get everyone in my list.
If you read that list and don't see yourself somewhere, I submit you haven't actually played the game.
I tried to be honest with the list and put things I personally don't feel are bad at all, but that I've read others criticize.
I guess if you see yourself somewhere, you're bound to have a negative reaction and jump on the OP - yours truely. That's actually pretty understandable and a human reaction.
I had a couple of ulterior motives in posting this. One was to get readers to think about some things you may do that you don't realize others consider annoying. For instance, when I first played the game, I zoned out of a few missions that were starting to go south, not realizing this is really considered bad form by the community.
The other was to make people think about cutting each other slack in areas that are really just playstyle choices.
It seems I had success - even if people now think I'm rather low myself...

These are sterotypes, as I cannot possibly see how some of these are annoying to people. Title grinder? How exactly does that affect anyone, except for the ONE title, survivor? Loner? How is playing by yourself annoying to anyone else since you're not interacting with them? Newb? Everyone starts out that way.

Some of those are just how people like to play, others are people who are directly influencing, and screwing, with other peoples game experiences. Anyone that screws with my game experience is the scum.

The OP fits in this category. About half of the categories on his list are not problems. I think this thread needs to be closed. It was created as flame-bait and deserves a temporary ban in my view.

As flame threads go, it's all rather one-sided - with even a mod joining in. But, by all means, please close. It seems to be going nowhere fast.

I see the fanboy in me, viciously attacking others who criticize my game. zealously defending guild wars whilst recruiting for it at the same time.
