I have been so much enjoying all the talent around here, that I decided to give it a try and take my first baby steps.
First of all, I have NEVER EVER drawn in my life (and I'm in my 40's). I started doodling basically last week. So this means proportions, shadows, lights, backgrounds... are all completely NEW to me. On top of it, I had never opened Photoshop until this week, so I can't begin to tell you what working with layers was, a FULL blown nightmare. I have to thank Babaroga for being so patient with me, and explaining to me layers in PS, and whatever other roadblocks I encountered, so Marko... THANK YOU!!!

My idea was to draw my ranger and my partner's ranger as kids. I decided to try sort of Chibi, since they are already super deformed, huge heads, small bodies... I could get away with more mistakes *coughs*, plus it's such a cute style. I do think what I did can't be called chibi, it's more of a mix.
This took me like 3 days of working, mostly because photoshop was driving me nuts. I KNOW there are a lot of flaws, but it's a long road ahead and hopefully I'll get better. Needless to say, I used my trackball, since of course I don't own a tablet, and I don't even use a mouse.
