Looking for Solo Ranger HM Build

This may be obvious, as I'm sure you already know, but solo ranger trapping u/w is one choice. Use the echo/arcane echo/dust trap build, I think pvxwiki.org calls it underworld-speed-trap-solo. Follow that to the tee and you are clearing the chamber solo within an hour. Also, try the Stygian Veil (if you've finished NF) quest as the same solo build, but sub tripwire for whirling d. It's possible to clear the 1st three waves in HM, too. The only downfall is that the drops seem to fall less when killing large mobs at once (i.e. trapping), but still some decent golds, etc. You said you tried the barrage build, I've tried that too in NF (Turai's Procession quest), it works quite well once you get the hang of it. I'm glad you posted the question, as I am looking for a good solo ranger build. I've heard ettin farming is possible outside Nebo Terrace with a solo R/Mo - I tried it and can't get it to work. Evidently, they drop metric butt-loads of runes. Good luck. Yes, I remember ettins dropping a lot of runes in normal mode. (including superiors) But I think A-Net nerfed that farming a while back. If it works in hard-mode, then I may have to give it a try with a trapper, and have to run around for half a minute waiting for them to bleed to death.
