Drop Rates?

So I've been going for the Cartographer title in Tyria. I have the other campaigns and my warrior is from Nightfall. After exploring alot of the zones it seems to me that Prophecies has better drop rates than Factions. I have got more dyes and more Gold/Purple items in clearing around the outside edges of Tyria than I have in Nightfall or Factions. I have also spent alot of time in Elona farming lightbringer etc.

What gives? Is there a better loot system in Prophecies or is it just chance?

In Prophecies there is a lot more 4-6 players maps????
I dunno.. I have had meh drop rates everywhere..

I have had alot of dye recently including my first ever white (7months of playing) but i haven't noticed more golds

Missions in prophecies seem to be the way to go for better, more regular drops. The Shiverpeaks ones especially, like Iron Mines of Moladune.

I've always been able to make around 2k there just by doing a mission. Definitely the place to be.
