Chat Channal Suggestions

I havent seen any other Post on these suggestions yet unless im an idiot but ,
I do think it would be a good Idea to add a /Ignore <PlayersName> Command that Ignores Players in ALL Chats. Currently We have a Ignore System for Whispers but When im sitting in Any Town or Area talking to people or Recruiting for Guild or just what ever , You see constantly stuipd Spams or Comments from people that are pointless.

Few Ex's. Where Some newbe might be asking a question and someone else spams "Shut up noob or figure it out your self" or what ever

Or When random people just feel like Spamming General chat about their views on the most random and stuipdest of things witch have no purpose what so ever but to create Trolling, Like Aruging about Government - Video Games - Etc Etc.

I Think Adding in a /Ignore Command that effects ALL chats Just like in WoW would be useful. Cuase Most people Dont want some Idiots spamming useless things in Chat channals When they are Talking to people - offering services or Guild Recruiting.

Also turning off the Channals with ~ is also pointless and wouldent help. I still would not be able to Recruit Talk or Trade if I cant See what im doing. Just saying that cuase I know that someone might just Suggest that.

Since when was social interaction not directly influenced by the game considered spam? On occasion, I've been part of or have started a few discussions about other video games, or social topics such as life in general. (Although the latter is usually short-lived because serious input is rare.)

Your idea holds some merit but it really doesn't need to be implemented. The spam I've seen from most players lasts about as long as it would take you to put them into an ignore list, especially the ones that spam the same phrase over again. They get bored.

I say, take part of social interactions in any form possible. Learn the intelligence and stupidity of the human race at the same time rather than shielding yourself from it.

I think the whisper ignore command is just fine, because it prevents frequent and unwarranted personal attacks. But as for public channels, leave them be.

There's always that little box you can check off to take away all the text.

Actually, I've been able to trade effectively with the trade chat turned off. I run my ad through the districts with the pink text off while I engage in a chat with some people in All. I still get whispers about my wares. Remember, just because you can't see your text doesn't mean it's not there.

I'm confused. I don't use ignore often, but thought it removed a person's text from all sources. I had a guy pestering me, swearing at me, etc. for leaving his group once. I put him on ignore. Couple days later I was in Zin Ku Corridor with a friend of mine. I saw him posting things that didn't make sense to me in the local chat. Then I saw another person say something and use the character name of the person in my ignore list.

I found out, the guy was in the city, talking bad about me in local chat. I didn't see any of what he said, as I had him on ignore.

Unless I'm wrong, Ignore list already removes a person from all your chat channels. Not just whisper.
