If I were to farm a boss for a green, but had trouble just getting to him then would it still be "soloing" him if I used henchman to get there, but then when I got to him flag the henchman away? So basically before engaging the boss I would flag my henchman way away, off the radar so they are grayed out on my party bar. Would this mean that the hench are not in the battle and therefore not able to receive any drops?
I think this is the case that I've heard before, but just wanted clarification. Thanks.
Just a simple farming question

I think it used to work like that, but not anymore. Now heroes/henchies will be considered as part of your team even if they are far enough for their bars to turn grey and will always receive drops.

Are you sure about your info urania? As far as I can tell and have heard around the forums, the flagging thing still works with heroes and henchies.

AFAIK they'll still share your coin, but greens, gold weapons, rare materials and tomes are exempt from loot scaling and therefore, if the henchies are off radar they won't steal those drops. I'm sure others can verify.

nope, i wasnt sure about the rare loot, frodo :P

urania, the problem with anything that went grey getting drops would be afk people. All that someone would have to do is join a group, go afk and collect his or her drops at the end of the mission. BTW I like pinning and killing if Im going after a green myself, so I hope it never goes away .

Ok tested it. They share gold drops but the rest of the items are exempt. Farmed 6-7 bosses using henchies vs. solo E/A and I did not see any major difference between drop rates solo vs. those gotten by flagging henchies off radar.
