Hi! I've been playing Guild Wars for a while and i never had a problem like this, so i was hoping if there is any answer to it.
I've recently moved on my vacation to another house, which means another computer. Now, in this computer the DVD drive is broken, so i can't use my guild wars dvd's to install. If I download the client from guildwars.com it brings a small .dat file which doesn't contain much.
My question is: Is there any way to get the full gw.dat file online? (i would like something official to prevent spyware/malware/keyloggers).
Thanks for reading!

Add -image to the end of the target on your gw shortcut.
This makes it d/l everything. Can take a while even on a fast connection. Remember to remove the -image so you can play again after (alternatively create a 2nd shortcut and just keep that for using -image.
Edit
If I remember correctly the .dat file size is around 3GB. So if your connection is very slow leave it overnight or alternatively dont bother. Just let the game download each file as and when it needs it, slow loading times but at least you dont have to leave your comp d/ling for how ever many hours.
