GuildWars Updater stuck at 100%

I have removed graphics.dll (the UT Sound File) from my GW folder and the game now starts up regularly!

First of all, I know I am not the only one with this problem. Secondly, please do not use this topic to explain other glitches/bugs apart from this one or to describe how good/bad the new update is.

30 minutes ago, I started my PC just like every other day. I had read about the update on guildwars.com so the update didn't come as a surprise for me. So the first update screen starts normally, downloading at 200KB/sec. The screen downloads normally up to 100% and freezes. I waited for a few minutes and clicked it away. Windows gave me a message that the Guild Wars Client wasn't reacting.

Frustrated I restart my computer and try again. This doesn't help. I log on to guru and try to find a topic about this. I found one in this subforum, but I this didn't help me at all. Nobody seems to know the cause of the problem.

Anyone have advice or answers?


Note: I have the GuildWars Unreal Tournament Mod installed, does this have anything to do with this?

Have you tried uninstalling mod then turning on GW?

Sounds more like a firewall problem, since the update changed the gw.exe

Can you remember giving your firewall a permission, when you downloaded the update?

I removed Graphics.dll, but it still has the problem =(. What can I do ?
Reinstall =o?
