The post doesnt fly over the oceans and deliver items to people in far away countries for free and we dont all live in the same country/continent.
Here's the trade off, buy from retail store, get a map and manual. Buy online play the game the INSTANT it goes live.
Except that the stores should be getting it in stock before GW:EN goes live, meaning its possible store bought copies will also give access the instant it goes live. Oh and the bonus missions are only available from the store, and for a lot of people there really isn't anything else to buy.
So my choices are:
- Buy online for bonus missions
- Buy in store for a manual, map, and install DVD so you don't need to download as much when you do a reinstall.
The manuals are usually interesting to read if they contain any lore, so I'd like to be able to download a copy of that. As for the DVD, well it will likely appear on various torrent sites quickly enough, so I'll just burn a copy myself once it appears.

The stores have copies of the game before the release, of course, in the biggest countries and cities. Because living in a 20k city in the middle on nowhere in Spain, the country were games are evil, do not help much to get GWEN from retailers before it is released. :P

think of the virtual copy AS the CE....since it gives the bonus missions.

there's no art book this time around. Just a little manual, which will just be a colour print up of all the info already splashed over the GW homepage.

I got Nightfall 2 days before it went live from a shop.
Still not sure if I'll buy it online or in the shop.
I've made my own A3 posters with my own characters and stuff in the game.

Can't you just get it from the online store, do the downloading stuff then burn that GW.dat to a DVD?
Easier than getting a torrent of it

I can bet you all that NCSoft did this crappy box on purpose so people would buy online instead!!!
I mean,it's horrible!!! This is probably the crappiest box they have done in term of content, and even the box art.
Oh btw, one question, if I reinstall using the DVD that would come with this box, do I get ALL the CONTENT? LIKE EVERYTHING? UNTIL THE DAY OF RELEASE? EVERY UPDATE? PLEASE ANSWER?

You should get all the GW:EN stuff or at least most of it, there steaming some GW;EN stuff just now, it would be much quicker however just to burn the GW.dat to dvd and update that once a month then you always have an up to date replacement in the event of anything.

16 pages? Damn. I was hoping for liek the other manuals where it gives you a description of all the characters, factions, lands, monsters... I do get a map though. It really does seem to kindof fit very well together with their online promotion...
I will still by the box though. I like to have things. I prefer to pay with cash even because I can see what I am paying. I guess I'm just old fashioned.

Oh I see, forgot they are already streaming it in. So I don't need to buy it (the box), hm...still considering my options with buying online or physical. If Futureshop or BestBuy give a good offer, with the prerelease going toward the final purchase, I'll buy physical, I just like having boxes I guess :P
