Theories on the end of GW1 and beginning of GW2

Farmer Dirk is the Great Destroyer.

No wonder when trying to stop the stone summit from opening the Tome of Rubicon, I saw the world's most handsome hog peeking from the shadows.

it ends like this: we see a cinematic of the dead endgame boss and then the camera zooms to the dwarf hero and we hear........a fart

At the end of GWEN, GWEN looks at us and laughs a deep masculine laugh.
Our heroes, dressed in varied garb, look bewildered.

Mhenlo, always one for the ladies, gasps in horror.
"No! I don't believe it! It can't be!"

Gwen laughs, rubbing her neck. "Yeah, wonder how you guys didn't spot it before, after you guys realized I was the most useless henchman ever."

And off comes Gwen's face as Little Thom unveils his true identity as the little girl.
"It was the only way you guys would take me along."

Mhenlo bursts out,"To think I fantasized about that!"

Not a very likely outcome, but a pretty good one. With the 5 good gods gone and the 3 evil ones destoryed it would set GW2 up to be a world with out god....or new ones rising.

uuuh correct me if im wrong but the whole NF thing didnt banish or "do away" with the 5 gods....nightfall itself blocked the gods from the world for a time but was once again restored. i pretty much base this off of the gods avatars in the gates of madness mission at the very end...they still had to be present, and even more so after NF there wouldnt be HoH or favor anymore with no gods to give favor. and secondly the great destroyer is an old old old....oldoldoldoldoldold demon that fought against the great dwarf or whatever they called him and he was sealed away or some stupid typical BS like that.

What's the great destroyer going to destroy?

My guess is... the henchies. I think that he's going to murder mhenlo and the henchies in the first 1/2 of the GWEN storyline.

Think about it. With new customizable henchmen and heroes for everybody who has GWEN, the old henchmen have to go.. so out with the old and in with the new.

First of all I was counting on the idea that the 5 gods were not truly gone. Second of all we still don’t know the true identity of the Great Destroyer and the Great Dwarf. So it’s pretty up in the air for speculation anyways as this thread states. I was kind of expecting the first battle between the Great Destroyer and the Great Dwarf to be a type of ruse; to hide the true meaning of the event.

Great Destroyer: Lich and Shiro's spirits combined

Great Dwarf: Rurik and Togo combined.

GO TAG TEAM FIGHT!!!

gwen is the great destoryer and kills us all. only at the end do we finally realize who she really was. hence the reason for the monuments. she's like Apocalypse from the X-Men.

Who is to stay this is the ending as some may not move on to GW2 and that there is so much space on the map?There could be more addons as well as for Cantha and Elona.They could make the map even more bigger.I doubt this is the end of GW1 and will continue on.

Yeah. Especially if Gwen dies, that would be nice finish.

My Theory: The Great Destroyer is unbeatable to all normal strategies, you fight it once and lose. You have to go back to Kormir, who absorbed abbadon's knowledge and learn some ub3r 1337 Dance moves so you can pwn him. You dance, instead of you dieing he dies, white writing flashes across the screen: The Great Destroyer got owned. He then proceeds to explode creating the sylvari and prompting gw2

gwen will take the sword of the destroyers, (an evil sword of ice @_@ zomg and we all thought he was made of fire : P ), with it she will travel to the north, gradually turning evil, then suddenly, she'll find a frozen throne and sit on it : P

i cant help but feel i've heard that somewhere : P

oh yeh. shiro and the lich come back (yet again) sporting team-rocket outfits and a new dance.....they have a mini pet mini mallyx aka meowth.

upon killing them, shiro gives birth and mallyx delivers a heatlhy new born sylvarie...all the while shouting "aaaaaaaarghhhh"

I'm still hoping for an ending where we don't win. We fight the Great Destroyer, we don't win, and the Sylvari, who we see born earlier (since we witness the birth of a new race), show up to save our collective asses.

Nice, surprising ending introducing a very badass enemy that will require the allied races to defeat centuries later (since so far, we've been able to kill a god with 8 people) and introduces us to the final new race, the Sylvari.

The Great Destroyer is infact not so great and he's working for a much more powerful evil call......The Greater Destroyer. And GD turn out to be the hero's father and Gwen is his/her sister.

Then at the end bit the Asuras will use the doomdays weapon to blow the crap out of tyria, bending time and space. Unwillingly open the gateway into the anti matteruniverse. And only the join force between current heroes and the future heroes from the mutiple Tyrias can stop the greater destroyer.

GW2 will be sub: Guild Wars 2: Crisis on infinite Tyria. Follow by the expansion pack, Crisis in time and Infinite crisis. Then the team up you'll never expect! Anet VS Blizzard: Crisis cross over.
