With the gimmick not working after Tuesday's update, is it even possible to beat him? The wiki talks bout beating him straight up, is this possible to do and still be able to complete the first part? Has anyone beaten him or know someone that has beaten him after the update? Thanks.

I have not done Citadel since the nerf, but from what I am hearing it is all but impossible to kill him. I hope to try him tonight, if I get my necro to complete Gloom and City. I think folks will find a way, but for now after you kill all 18 groups and then fail at Mallyx, it is going to make for a lot of frustrated gamers.

On a positive note, if you have any Mallyx Greens, they will likely go up in price.

From what I am gathering, having adrenalin limit skills (visage) as well as spirits and shelter (rit skills) may be helpful, but taking in front-on Mallyx is going to be difficult and will take the right skills and luck to do him in.

Normal mode missions like City, Gloom, and maybe even Veil, are now very easy and take much less time. We did City on normal mode just to try it and it took just over an hour (with a break) and there were very few Ki's in any of the groups. The boss's skills, Lord Jada, seemed to be nerfed as well and he went down fast.

Gloom being the fastest mission before will likely be even faster now and I have been told that you can easily do it with heros. IMO DOA quests on normal mode are now not Elite. Foundry 2nd room on normal mode will wipe most PUG groups most of the time, since there is no room. So there are very important changes to this update that has changed very significantly DOA not necessarily making it all easier (e.g. Mallyx and Foundry (small room)).

Just for clarity. It seems as now every FG is moved inside the room. An FG corpse near the door will be moved in, and a live FG just inside aggro range will be killed and moved inside also.

I had an idea of a way to get around this, but thats all it is atm so I guess we'll find out. It does require a lot of setting up so it may not be workable.

With the DOA quests being easier, then I suspect a lot of people will be stacked up on the citadel quest.Seems odd that in 8 months of DoA, no one has yet to beat him in the room and post evidence of it..
