Guild Wars: Eye of the North Pre-Order

Players can now pre-order Guild Wars: Eye of the North from the Guild Wars Official (in-game) Store.

Promotional Items

Pre-order and promotional weapons that contain open component slots can once again be enhanced with upgrade components. These upgrades cannot be salvaged from the weapon once they have been applied.

Miscellaneous

The character selection screen has been updated to Guild Wars: Eye of the North.

Bug Fixes

Fixed several skill-related bugs that occurred during the last update. Included among these updates: Fast Casting once again works on Signets, Spawning Power once again increases weapon spell duration, and Mesmer interrupt skills once again work on Chants.

Fixed a bug that caused Observer Mode games to disappear prematurely from the list.

Fixed a bug that caused attributes to be listed in red text.

Fixed a graphical map error in the Ring of Fire.

The new background is soo much better trhan the NF one, an di prefer the music too

:EDIT: although i cant seem to get into the store at teh moment..... just loads a balck screen :S

:edit2: i guess its jsut due to a lot of people buying the prerelease, its all being very slow XD

my gaming computer loaded up the update faster and got into the in game store and got the preorder...but it took a long while to process...

my second account on my slower computer finally finished and now gets the same thing you got...black screen saying it can't contact the server...think I'm just going to wait on ordering the preorder pack for my second account.

Very nice Login screen and beautiful music!

Edit: Just went to log in with Tasha and noticed a nose smudge (presumably lighting related) that wasn't there before

Before (slightly hard to see because its zoomed out)

Is this a problem localised to me or related to this particular face, my other characters looked normal under the new shiny light.

There are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of other people trying to get into the online store at the same time. The servers are most likely at capacity and it's to be expected that there will be slowdowns and disconnections. Have patience guys...

ATTENTION - DirectSong users... you have to hack the windows registry to disable direct song in order to hear the new intro music.

You can also "move" your music folder to disable the directsong, and move it back to re-enable.

Something interesting. It says you can add a mod to where there's a blank spot on the pre order weapons, however, playing around with the Factions staff, it would let me add a head to replace the insightful head. So it's not just to blank slots - mods can be added to any slot.

This is teh preorder pack, the money comes off teh final price at teh store, and so is effectively free if you byu the game.

You get bonus weapons, and access to teh sneak peak weekend too.

However, i think i may have got screwed in this thing, it now says i have teh pack, but /preorder dont work :S

Pay attention to the official notes. You can't add the weapons to your inventory until you add a regular GW:EN key to your account. So we basically don't get anything right now but access to the early release and the promise of the weapons.

hmm I managed to get pre-order (must have logged on right after update went live as I didn't have any probs getting in to the store) and recieved a email confirming it. However the bonus weapons don't seem to be available in game yet as typing /preorder does not list them.

Careful when submitting orders...you gotta keep an eye on your email.

on my second account I didn't receive any successful transaction screen but I got an email saying a transaction for the account went through. When I exited the store and went back in it said my preorder had indeed been purchased.

yeah it shows up for both of my accounts in the "manage access keys screen": the Eye of the North Preview Event and the 3 weapons.

and no I can't get the 3 weapons yet...
