I'd appreciate if Gaile could take a look at this or if anyone else with this problem could post as well.
On the advice of Gaile about using gift cards to purchase stuff in the gw in-game store to qualify for the bonus mission pack, I went out and bought a Vanilla Visa Gift Card with a $50 balance on it and had it activated, now that the preorder is up on the store I tried to check out with my new purchase only to see a "refused" message everytime I tried. This card has not been used yet and still has it's $50 so I'm not sure what the problem is, and I've contacted support on the gw site as well for whatever good that will do.
Please tell me I didn't waste my time getting this gift card if I cannot use it for what I wanted?

I was using a parents Visa card, and after several attempts to trying to connect to the server and failing, it started saying the card was refused. Then, after about 4 times, it started to tell me that the processor thought the transaction was fraudulent and haven't been able to get my pre-release pack since then. My only solution was to email them via the support page..

Well I can't say I've kept up with the news regarding this matter, but I thought the initial thoughts were that thaht kind of thing wouldn't work, of course that may have changed so just ignore me.
I first used the store a few months ago and on the first attempt recieved the "we think this transaction is fraudulent, please check" message, after going back and looking at what I had entered I saw that it was correct and tried again, the second time it was accepted. SO I would suggest you give it another try after getting that message.

Only certain "gift cards" will work. it was discussed in another thread that i dont want to dig up. had something to do with a recurring billing system and support said to check the gift cards terms of service to verify that it did or did not have a system like that.

Ok after a full day of alot of runaround and hassle, NCSoft support told me it was a problem with the Issuer of the card not accepting it, this card being issued by Elan Financial Services on behalf of Visa, I called them up and got an automated hotline that did not recognize my card number, so I had to contact Visa directly, which was another automated line that did recognize my card number and confirmed this card should work with online purchases anywhere that Visa is accepted (like the GW in-game store), except the ingame store still won't let me order.

I really feel like I and other like-minded people got shafted here on this whole deal.

Did you do the online activation of the Gift Card via the site VISA gives you to activate it from? If you don’t activate it through their means you won’t be able to purchase anything online.
I had to activate mine though this site: www.allaccessgift.com; to get mine up and running.

My card is activated, it was activated when I purchased it, and I even double-checked myself earlier.

I will refer this to several teams, and please accept my personal apology if the information that I gave was inaccurate. It was given in good faith, as it was what was told to me as a working solution.
I'd like to ask that you hold a couple of days on this, while we research. Don't worry, we'll get you those bonus items soon, and access to the Sneak Peek, too, once we can get the store to accept the card.
Can you do me a big favour? Can you write an email to [email protected] and relay at least the scant details there? Even better -- would you be willing to submit a support ticket? What we need is the type of card, where purchased, and the codes you get in your rejection. Also, confirmation you're using in the in-game store and not the PlayNC store?

Well EBGames had no problem taking my money, heh. So much for the bonus mission pack but I'll have gw:en at least.
*edit* Just my luck, I see Gaile posted just mere moments after I placed my order >_<. Still I'll do my best to cooperate to make sure this doesn't happen to others, and if this all gets worked out i can always get some extra character slots or something I guess.
