DirectSong-Problem

In what order did you install the direct song music?
Did you use the installers from the DS site?
You can also try downloading and running the DirectSong Register program in your music directory to make sure that the music was registered.

You can also try downloading and replacing the GuildWars.ds and ds_GuildWars.dll file:

The problem is caused by the latest update. For some strange reason the directsound engine isn't being launched by the client. I am sure the devs will start to realize this soon. In the meantime, you'll have to launch it manually yourself. On your GuildWars shortcut, right click and then click on properties. In the Target section, you should see something like "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe". At the end of that add -dsound to launch the direct sound engine. So your Target should end up looking like "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -dsound. This should work.
