Missing link to updates..

The new GW site looks cool and all that, but I find it very aggravating that they no longer have a direct link to the updates section.

Good link, but that's not the point. It's a major error by Anet.

When they did the major site redesign ages ago they didn't have quicklinks either. They were added later. Their designer probably forgot, again, to put quicklinks on the site the first time.

Even when I type "game updates" in the search, it did not give me a straigh answer.

How quickly your web team forgets. This was a major complaint the *last* time you redesigned, too.

i noticed this too and then realized that if you went to gw wiki (gw official one) the game updates link is right there at the top.

Look, Cymmina and your ilk. We said there's a problem, Gaile agreed and said she would pass it along to the people in charge. What exactly are you trying to accomplish with your continued sniping? We pay less for Guild Wars and get a lot more service than other games out there, and a lot of people seem to take that as a license to complain and air their unreasonable expectations. ArenaNet is human, too, and they at least are fairly open about saying "yeah, our bad" from time to time. I for one appreciate that.

This is probably the first HONEST and helpful feedback I've given in a long time, so here it is. You guys should be putting game update notes on the official site before you put them on the wiki. Sure, the wiki is hosted by Anet, and is also 'official', but I've talked to many people about it, and they all agree; having to read the wiki JUST for updates is annoying. As it is, not many of the people I know read it, simply because it's incomplete. That and the fact that the other wiki (www.guildwiki.org) already has full information on pages, since it has been around longer. Being made to check 'official' wiki pages for game updates, rather than going to the official site, is a major problem. I know that the updates are put up on the official site eventually, but they really should be put there first. After all, it is the page that everyone visits when they want Guild Wars information.

Ive just been using wiki :-) But I would like easy access to that game update section as I use the GW website for that function 80% of the time.

Additionally, you should make sure that when you DO put out an update that you have an update posted on the site immediately. It is spotty at best that when there is an update you go to the site to find out what is in it only to find no indication of an update. I can't be that hard to coordinate a game update with putting a new web content update out.
