Assassin is probably your best choice aside from warrior. Dark escape, feigned neutrality, deaths charge, dash, siphon speed. Mainly because dark escape and feigned neutrality won't end prematurely since your not actually hitting with an attack with illusionary weaponry.

Um...some ranger pet skills have improved atk speed. If you look on wiki it shows a build of IW and a pet me thinks. Sin is good for def...but I don't think theres any atk speed bonuses there. And snare as in illusion snares?

dervish secondary might be worth a look, many of the dervish enchants have interesting effects and don't require you hitting anything. Also, survivability for a low AL target increases with dervish stuff.

IW sucks, but the best you can do with it is:
[skill]illusionary weaponry[/skill][skill]deadly paradox[/skill][skill]feigned neutrality[/skill][skill]siphon speed[/skill][skill]disrupting dagger[/skill][skill]dark escape[/skill][skill]illusion of weakness[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

If you take sin as a secondary for this, be sure to pump dagger mastery a bit to increase the chances doublestriking. No need for any IAS when you're hitting twice with one attack motion (I assume that you'd be wielding daggers, at least).

This may be a viable skill if it doesn't get nerfed. Then cover with IoW and whatever else you can find.

Sin is still probably the best bet though for a PvE IW mes.

Weapon Of Agression could be good for an IW mes, and Ritualist offers some interesting stuff to the mix.

I like this old school set-up
Me/W
Attributes: Max out Illusion, stick rest in Inspiration and Fast Cast, leaning toward inspiration

IW
Flurry
Distortion
Power Drain
Illusion of Haste
Illusion of Weakness
Ether Feast
E-management/Utility
E-management/Utility/Rez

Simple, and works. Put on IoW, then IW, then IoH, switch between flurry/distortion as needed. Interupt spells and feast when needed. Not as energy intensive as you think, 'specially if you use power drain well. Still weak vs. Enchant removal, but that is unavoidable. Very good in RA actually.
