Preordering in-store

how come all the stors don't have the preorder box when it says they have it on their websites? Is anybody else having this problem? (you know the ones who didn't order online)

Here in Tampa, Florida most of the stores tend to run late on all of the new releases. The local Best Buy did not have it last evening, when the wife and I dropped in after dinner, so I'll check again next weekend.

Yeah, my local gamestop didn't have it yet, either. :P Some stores are just late.

LOL when Nightfall was on preorder the places around here didn't even know it existed. Give them a bit of time they will catch on.

Just to put it in perspective, Nightfall preorders didn't arrive at my Gamestop til the week of release.

My Gamestop here in De Queen,AR USA dint have the preorder either they said it should be in by monday (this after extensiver searching to find out even wtf Guild Wars:Eye of the North is) for that matter they havnt had any of the preorders or games even for that matter on time they were all late so ya im like wtf (i just wanna reach over the counter an slap the dumb blond woman "the manager at that" and tell her get her head out her ass an pay attention to the worlds best game out there) ya ive come to the conclusion im prolly gonna use the ingame store to buy mine but i so wish i could still get the map of GW:EN at least when i buy it an i wish the price was a lil more inline with the rest of the stores around here (ingame 39 buks in rl gamestop 35 wallmart 32) yes anet plz if ur not gonna give us the stuff of the box at least give it to us a bit cheaper at least!!!

Still no preorder packages here. Hope they come in before the sneak peek event.

Not much use to people outside the UK.... but GAME have the preorder bonus pack quite well publicised in their shops and apparently they are going to feature the actual game every where in store a week or possibly more before release.

I went to my local Gamestop here in New York, and asked to pre order GWEN. The half-stoned teenagers working there looked at me like I was Mario from Nintendo or something. "Oh we didn't get anything in for guildwars. Try Monday." This was yesterday July 27. Guess its not the only place with a delay.

I had no problems with my EB store in Australia!
I got two boxes because I pre-ordered two games and I did not have to ask for them.

My question is if I buy the boxed version will the Bonus Missions be available some other way when they are released in November so that I can obtain the map and box art as I have the rest. At the moment it appears that the only way to obtain these bonus missions is through the Bonus Mission Promotion. I wish it was clear about the bonus missions being for purchase in November or if this promotion is my only ticket to the bonus missions. I feel like I have to choose. . .map. . .or bonus missions? I'd gladly pay money in November to receive the bonus missions. I'm really blown away that neither the BMP FAQ nor the wiki provide insight to this dilemma. If you have insight to my concern please reply. Thanks gang.

I talked to a guy at EB or one of those stores and he said they hand them out with the game.

The word according to Gaile, no, the bonus missions will never be available any other way.

In game store for me after the Nightfall debacle I had with EB.

That is a major downer. Alienating future fans of GW by having limited time missions as well as keeping fans from new content when buying the boxed product seems rather thoughtless.

It's no different than other promotions that have been offered in the past. When Nightfall came out, the Walmart near me was giving out t-shirts with abaddon on them. Other stores had similar, but different promotions. It's not any different and as such just a gimic to convince people to buy from one place over another. For example, if you buy from ebgames.com or gamestop.com, as a bonus, they are giving a code for a 30 day Trial Premium Membership to Allakhazam.com.

Hey. . .I'm all for gimicks n' extras. But let us purchase the extras, so as fans we can obtain everything we'd like. . .instead of being boxed into obtaining only one. What a downer for future fans to never be able to play the bonus missions because they hadn't tried or known about GW until later.

Well the extras are just that, fringe benefits for buying from _____ location. Who knows, maybe at some point they will make them available for purchase, possibly as part of a larger set. But right now, fringe benefit is what they are.

Unfortunately, Commander Ryker said that Gaile Gray said the bonus missions won't be available any other way.

My Gamestop didn't get the Nightfall or Factions pre-release packages, at all. They gave me a GW shirt each time though (but no bonus items ).
