I went to Ebgames to check on the 20th and today to check if they had the pre-order box for Eye of the North and they did'nt have it. They said alot of people were asking them about it too. The people at this store are'nt idiots that work there just cause either, they actually know games. Anyone get the pre-release box yet or was the transport attacked? I'm in the U.S by the way.

Give them time Laddy as it ain't the 31st yet and it not coming at warp speed and not on impluse either laddy. It is coming at maneuvering thrusters only.If it came any faster it would shake the world of Tyria apart I swear.

What prelease means is that you pay $5. and when it comes in store you get a call and get it before those who didn't pay for it through prerelease.

no, actually the prerelease is seperate, and you get it right away, allows you early access to the sneak peak as well as some other crap. you are thinking of just reserving a copy of EotN. Pre-release pack came out on the 20th.

But alas, it is also true that the EBgames in my area has also not recieved the pack, i pre-ordered EotN, and am hoping I can go back and pick up a pre-release pack as well.

LOL...by what? rabid GW fanbois?

...retail stores take time to get preorder boxes...the only thing you can count on being in store on the release date is that actual game...(unless of course there's supply problems...)

with preorder boxes there's simply no rush for them to get them. The only date they worry about for those is the release date for the actual game.

oh yeah...they aren't likely to get shipments of product during a weekend...if I'm not mistaken the majority of their shipments come via UPS from their distributor...so it'll arrive on a weekday.

don't check back more often than every few days...it'll get there when it gets there...I suggest you just call them instead of actually making the trip down there.

you got till the 24th of August (the start of the sneak peek I believe)...more than a month away.

I work at EBGames as well, and we've not received our shipment yet. Arren Knez: while you bring up a very good point, EBGames actually receives new shipments almost every day of the week. Because of this, I was a little disappointed myself. We've already had people come in looking for it because the official Guild Wars website states that it can be purchased at Gamestop/EBGames retailers. Hopefully we'll get them in by tomorrow, at the least.

Same thing in my area. I called over 7 GameStop/EBGames locations.

Of course, 5/7 of the people I spoke with had absolutely no clue what I was talking about and convinced themselves that I wanted to know the released date for GW:EN. -_-;;

Is the pre-release pack completely seperate? Because i pre-ordere EotN when i went there....can i singularly purchase the pack or would it have been added onto the charge for my EotN (payed all up front)

Friday I checked at Best Buy, GameStop and Circuit City but none had it out on shelves yet so today I went back to GameStop and asked the cashier if they have the pre-order pack yet, he looked around and found nothing but said that they'll probably get it in a few weeks so I'll check back with them later.

Back when Nightfall first went up for pre-order I ordered my copy from EBgames' website(CE+pre-order pack) on the day the pre-order pack was released. I didnt get the pre-order box untill maybe a week or so (two weeks tops) before the game release date. But they did email the pre-order key code to me just a few hours after I placed the order. IIRC, EBgames.com charges a small amount($5?) for the pre-order pack when you place the order, and charges the rest(minus the $5~) when they ship the actual game box.

The same thing happened when I pre-ordered a box copy of GW:EN for my 2nd account on Friday. Shortly after, I got an email with the pre-order bonus key. I may not have the box right away, but I do already have access to pre-order weapons and preview weekend just like on my main account that has pre-order from in-game store.

Game in the UK have it for sale...at £1.99 each. Cheaper than the GW on-line store price.

Hey, let me know when you get it - I'm in Calgary too but I can't pre-order the game here since I move to Edmonton either Aug.31 or Sep.1 (not in my control), so I hope I can buy it separately...

I visited the local EB Games store on Friday and they had no idea what I was talking about either.
