Ok so Yesterday the Prices for Ecto where 11K, Today they are 10K...????

I have found that the drops have decreased since the stupid CC Shards... So this should make the Price for Ecto Go UP bc of the decrease in Ecto.
Cleared Tons Solo and didnt get an ecto in 3 Runs.....

But the prices are still dropping... Is it to get Monks out of soloing....
Another way to nerf the monks???

Ecto used to be 15K now they are 10K... wouldnt be surprised to see them drop to 9K in the next month. Its hardly worth doing it solo....

anyone got anything to add.... lol

I think ecto prices are dropping beacuase people are starting to save money for chapter 2 armor. Which in turn takes away the "want" for FoW armor, and if less people want FoW armor then there is little use for ectos. Also I think the discovery of IDS, CC's removing DP, and Terror shields, has peoples attention focused on things other than FoW armor. I predict the value will stabalize around 10k once all the "new" item hype is over.

Or people will realize how pointless FoW is in most cases and ecto will tank with everyone buying Chap 2 armors instead...think new elite armor there to save up for...lmao

I am getting my female mesmer fissure, bottomline.

I don't care if there's some new elite armor in C2 that casues my character to be a blinding 500ft tall collumn of blinding light, I WANT MY FEM MESMER FISSURERREEE.

i was just in FoW and went as far as completeing forgemaster stuff when my keys locked up and i got logged out

thats besides the point, there was a total of like 15 shard drops and a ruby. And lots of other things. I got 2 myself, i think drop rates are increasing.

Plus i always keep an eye on monstrous items, anyone else notice that they were 1.4k a month ago and now they are at about 2.8k

not increasing...less people farming FoW...people are busy farming IDS or doing holiday crap...FoW used to be like that before the masses learned about it...I can remember getting 10+ ecto(in UW) in a 4 gaming day.

A lot of us tried to explain that this would happen after the farming nerfs in November. Also, as has already been pointed out, many are simply losing interest in FoW Armor with the next Chapter not too far off the horizon.

Ecto and Shard prices will continue in a decreasing trend up to and through chapter 2. Prices for rubies, sapphires, and most likely monsterous items will continue in an increasing trend, depending on their role of crafting the new Chapter 2 armor.

Anyone who wants to grab a set of FoW armor should just wait a few more months when Ecto/Shard prices tank to near nothing on Chapter 2 release. The special Chapter 2 armor(s) is(are) supposed to be a middle price between FoW and 15k, but Anet doesn't understand the hording nature of the GW community. >.>

I'm holding out for Ch. 2 myself and frankly, I just don't see FoW armor being worth it. I've never bought Ecto and never will, but I'll the sell em in a New York minute.

Haha, I guess the pre-prehistoric price of easily 200k+ for a unid sup vigor means nothing :P Anyway, pretty soon Ectos/Shards will drop in price due to the leetsauce ruby/saphire/monsterous/glittering dust armor!

the npcs sell based on supply and demand. demand is till pretty high, but as said its dropping. then theres the supply which is increasing very fast thanks to all the new solo build comeing out. so if ch2 armor does not need ectos, their price will most likely drop some more but definitely not less than 5-7k.

i'd love to see the ecto price plummet down to 1k some more people go for fissure armour as it would be more affordable. But it will never happen as if they drop to 5k or less people will start buying again till it's up to 10k

permanent solution: make ectos drop everywhere, even from a lvl 3 devourer outside ascalon....

...of course then fissure armor would just be crap. (not a serious post)

Fissure armor isn't worth the millions of gold it costs. I like my Knights Armor fine, especially dyed silver. Sooo shiny.

Last tiem I checked, ectos were being sold for 8k each in the Temple Of Ages.

I still remember people selling ecto to the merchant because no one knew what it was for, and they could drop in piles of 4.
