Whats the best way to get them?

i have both proph and factions...ne missions/quests that give to me?

looking for a way in pve cause i kinda hate pvp

Hummmm, perhaps because you can use Balth's points for unlocking skills for HEROES?


Slayer: You can only earn Balth's points in PvP. However, this includes "PvP-lite" arenas such as Fort Aspenwood, holiday PvP arenas such as Dragon Arena and Snowball fight, and Alliance Battles.

He can't use heroes if he only owns Prophecies and factions. He could however unlock skills and then use tomes to gain them on characters.

Apart from the areas listed by Mouser, you are also able to earn up to 2,000 Balth faction per day from the Zaishen Challenge, located on the Battle Isles.

unfortunately SylentSlayer, pvp is the only way. However, you can get balthazar points up to I believe 2k per day by killing the zaishen in the areas around the Temple of Balthazar on the Battle Isles. If you need more than 2k per day, you'll have to go do some real pvp against other players.

Zaishen Challenge- I used a Splinter Barrager. You will rack up your daily max in a few minutes.

Or a trapping team, which is slightly faster.

In Zaishen Elite, you can earn 6K Balthazar faction per day. You don't have heroes, so try and join a trap Ranger team. 2 Trap Rangers + heroes/hench can kill everything there. It's about 15-20 minutes to get your daily max.

so i cannot gain heroes if i only own prophecies (just started playing couple months ago)? Please explain in detail as I am not privy to GW speak yet!!!

Currently, only those with nightfall have access to heroes.

However, if you purchase Eyes of the North, ANet has added 10 additional heroes to it. You do not need Nightfall to gain those 10 additional heroes.
