Cinematic

Seems like a fair bit of people was dissapointed by the lack of a cinematic in Nightfall.


Do you think there will be one in GWEN? Hell.. or perhaps an ending cinematic, if its the last we will see of GW until GW2?

I dont think we will see one.

But there better be a kick ass one for GW2.

we had a really really well done in game trailer, i prefered that over a CG which doesnt even look like the GW universe

There will be no CG trailer for GW:EN. WE got an amazing in-game engine trailer, and the cutscenes (including the ending cinematic) will be using the in-game engine the way they always have, and they will not be CG like the Prophecies trailer or the Factions trailer.

See this thread for some of the reasons why. As many as were upset about the lack of a CG trailer for NF, there were as many or more of us that thought that not doing one was a good decision for Anet, and that thier money is better spent elsewhere.

Even Kotaku noted a few days ago that it was great to see an ingame trailer.

Any company can throw money away to make a fantastic looking CGI trailer, but they never really represent what the game is actually like. Actually using ingame material is much more impressive. Personally, I liked the Nightfall trailer a lot more than either the Prophecies or the Factions cinematics, and the new Eye of the North one was just amazing.
