Is it me or have Alliance Battles been dominated by leavers and leechers. 1 person leaving just cus they are 50 points behind can mean that any chance of winning is gone.

I reckon that it would be good idea if people that left before the match ends should lose faction. This would hopefully reduce the amount of people leaving.

Anyone agree that something should be done?

yeah, this is something that pisses me off so much its ridiculous. Me and some guild mates where in there last night i swear there was maybe about 7 of us trying to cap and fight at the same time. everyone else had left or was leeching. Its pretty lame if you ask me, people trying to sync join and leaving when the rest of their buddies don't get in. Its the new RA.

Same with RA.. I was thinking maybe they should implent the same thing blizzard did with wow. When you leave pvp you get a 15min penalty wich means u cant got into RA or AB again for that time. Should solf alot of problems!!

Something needs to be done about the leechers and leavers Ive lost countless games of AB and RA due to the fact that my team or myself are completely out numbered when I started playing Guild Wars PVP was a really good fun thing to do but Ive not done it in ages because its over run by people not playing.

The thing is, the people who leave don't understand they're losing faction simply by leaving. If they have that sort of attitude towards the game, chances are they are contributing to the team losing and trying to find a better team isn't very plausible for them. Penalties would be great to discourage it.

The problem is this lso penalizes legitimate discoes, and there is no way to tell a difference between someone discoing, leaving, or unplugging their computer.

must be able to tell if someone leavs or disconnects. If they leave then they will pop up somewhere else.

If you're legitimately AFK or disconnected, then by the time you get back the penalty will be over or close enough to it. The only people who are going to be really hurt by this are the ragequitters who immediately try to start another game. If you can only attempt a join four times in one hour, you're gonna think twice about leaving the game immediately just because things aren't going your way.

I agree with pvp penalty for leaving... There was another thread about those frikkin ragequitters etc but I can't find it.
WoW has it, it can't be hard to implement.

The problem with this would be, as stated, to separate the ones who leave by themselves and the ones who gets a connection error. What if your router or pc goes haywire? It wouldn't be fare to punish people with technical errors
But I like the idea Just needs a final touch imo

And here I thought that GW already 'knows' how to recognize disconnect and leavers... Oh wait, it does!
Problem solved.

Eh, I think everybody needs to take a second to realize what they are asking for...

I think a better solution would be, if a player leaves in the beginning of an RA/AB, since there is a nice 50 second grace period, wouldn't it just be better to, for RA, for example, to grab a random player already waiting to join and just insert them into the team that had a player leave or disconnect?

For AB, if you have somebody leave because they are down 50 points, that's just something you have to deal with. It's not like you were handicapped from the start... They were there fighting, and trying to win. They just gave up sooner. Life's full of disappointments...

For the leecher problem... I don't have anything as of now. I'll edit in my possible fix to that when I think of it. :P
