When it comes to weapons what do you consider "perfect"? Is it 15^50 Health +30 Sundering 20/20 or is it something with a max inherent mod with max mods? I am just curious because I had a bit of a disagreement with someone.

I think pretty much everyone has a different idea about perfect and it also depends on the weapon. What's perfect on a sword won't be on a bow and so on.

Well perfect weapons are generally req. 9 (or less) 15^50 20/20 +30, but there are "perfect" caster weapons where the req. doesn't matter Ex: req. 7-13 +5 energy +20% enchantments.

So if it's a normal weapon you are trying to sell, req. 9 15^50 20/20 +30 is perfect, even though sundering sucks and people know it they still sell weapons with it (I guess it's just a bad habit).

IMO any req. (as long as I meet it) and 15^50 has me sold on a weapon. +30 isn't that hard to buy and the only thing it's pricey on is swords and swords suck so . And sundering is just crap unless it's on something like a horn bow.

If you're talking about selling something, then 'perfect' is what everyone has explained - highest stats and lowest req you can get on the item. If you are talking about perfect in a useage situation, then perfect depends on the situation.

I consider perfection to be a clean headshot and a perfectly timed active reload.

Oh... you mean in GW?

Whatever I need for my build.
The masses may consider 20/20 15^50 +30 'perfect', but the masses are mending wammos as well...

In trade terms, this is perfect:

Max damage
Req7 (lowest req with max dmg available)
15% no negative condition

However, req7 no negs don't exist to my knowledge. Closet available is a req8, which is customized on a dead account.

Anything besides what is stated above is sub-par and totally beyond the reaches of most GW players as such items would hit 10-15 million.

Most your average players would consider this perfect

req8 15^50 20/20 +30hp

Of course there is those that will disagree with me, some don't care about stats, some will disagree just for the sake of arguing etc

Anything max i think +20% hex is "perfect" as far as im concerned anything from there is just up to opinion. I dont like the usage of "perfect" to describe a 15^50. As for a req 7 +15 uncon, well i dont think "perfect" deos it justice.

It is all very relative to your needs and builds. Example, a necro MM and necro SS would be two different sets of weapons on the same character each set custom tailored to the specific needs of the casters particular role.

Do you need a lot energy to get a bunch of high cost spells off quickly and wait for the Soul Reaping to get recharged? Or do you feel you are more effective with lower energy but a faster recharge? It all depends on what works best for you.

I understand the whole based on your needs and what you're looking for, but I'll explain what happened today while I was trading.

Me: WTS Req 9 Perfect Sephis Axe- 50k oBO
Person: Can I see?
Me: Sure
Person: haha that's not perfect
Me: Yes it is, its stats are max
Person: No, perfect is 15^50 Health +30 Sundering 20/20
Me: Maybe for you, but not for everyone
Person: What you should say is perfect stats, not that it's perfect
Me: Ignore

To me, there was honestly no difference in what this person was telling me. I just wanted your guys' opinions since most of yous are the GW population that I consider to have some brains =]

You were right, he was wrong. 15^50 is not always the best if you have a stance or enchantment always up, etc. +5 al is a lot of times better than +30 health and the other suffixes have their uses too. And Vampiric>Sundering. Zealous is also very useful. There can't be one perfect weapon mod set up because each build requires different mods. And I don't know why anyone would use sundering in their version of "perfect" when vampiric is clearly better.

My Requirement 11 Elonian gladius thats 15 -10 armor (while attacking) 3:1 vampiric and +30 health is the ONLY sword I'll ever need, its what I consider perfect. But the general consensus agrees that req 8 15^50 20/20 (good on axes not so much swords) +30 health is the best idea for a weapon

A perfect sword, in my eyes, is one that looks good and can be fully modded. That way I can make it what I want and ignore the screaming 13 year old fanboys telling me otherwise.
