Can't purchase preorder from GW or NC online store

Hmmm, this is rather frustrating. Been trying to get the pre-order since the weekend in the online store (so I can eventually get the bonus missions). However, its failed several times with code 1751104, which according to the support site, is card company declining.

I called them, and they said it was the issuer of the card blocking the merchant (my card was all good and no problems). Calling my issuer, they say that the vendor has been flagged as having a high number of fraudulent purchases, and thus has been blocked. I pressed them to let me make the purchase, but after much waiting, the lady came back and said, basically, the vendor really had too much fraud associated with it...

Anyone else have this issue? I see several people have bought through the online store with no problem. Heck, I bought Factions and Nightfall in April and May with the same card (after a long GW absence...). I want the bonus and I'm all for cutting out the middlemen. But you'd think Anet & NCsoft would be more attentive to whatever these fraud ratings the CC industry is using.

I had the same exact issue a few days ago. My bank was declining the transaction, for beign an out of state transaction (silly because its only 4.99$) Also have in mind that if you try more than 4 times in a 24 hour period NCSoft will no allow the transaction.

How are people who live in Argentina (like me) gonna buy GWEN ? :S

I bought the 3 chapters with the visa i own and now i dont know what do to, i dont know anyone so as to trust him my account and buy the pre-order online :S

Besides, i would have to give him the money, and thats quite a trouble too.

Yep! had the same issue.. My bank allowed the block to be removed for a few days so I could make the Purchase, but only temporarily. I have to call every time I want to buy something from NCSoft.

Gaile, did you know that NCSoft had been flagged as having a high number of fraudulent purchases? This issue should probably be looked at, as I was using a visa, the most common card.

Minor update. I got a call from my CC company, asking about the attempts over the past week to purchase from the NCsoft store. I said yes, it was me, and gave them my sad story of not being able to convince anyone to unblock the vendor. Well, this person claims all that info was wrong and its the NCsoft store blocking my card (visa - tho maybe the particular issuer?) and I maybe have gotten the expiration or CCV number wrong. I assured them I checked at least three times on each attempt!!

Argh...I think after 10 years of financial independence I may need to call my mom and ask her to buy me a video game on her credit card Everyone point and laugh at me...

hmmmm, I wonder, if all the fraudulent card use is mostly the bastardly gold farmers not even paying themselves for accounts...

I can't access it, and I'm using a Visa...maybe the issue is I'm using a check card and not a regular credit card...?
