It could also attract protential female buyers too because having a female character representing the entire game shows femininity, power and dominance in one image.

Jora is perfect. The Anet artists have a great eye. Keep up the good work. I think GW2 will blow our freekin minds! Keep hotties like that coming. I'm all up for it!
Not one game in the world rivals GW on how many hot chick characters can be created from each and every profession. And kudos to the armor designers as well for their excellent work on making sure that the female characters are worth playing for 2000 hours, with little chance of getting boring to look at.

Oh and for Factions expansion(2008), I'd like to see a Female Ele hero and something skimpy for Acolyte Jin to wear. My wishlist is endless on this subject.

with jora its a good thing to see anet go all the way with her and put her on the box and also in the game where as in proph the ranger chick, the war guy and the mesmer chick dont make any other appearances, in factions vizu shows up in game but the rit doesnt other than the CS and the nf box lol they never make it in game.
on a side note, SlyClone where did you hear about a factions expansion for 08? So far anet has not stated anything about another expansion after gw:en other than the bonus missions which you need to qualify for.

when you look at the concept art of Jora, you immediately think yes thats a Norm lady.
then they refined it, so that it will appeal to the general market. Now Jora is just another beautiful lady character in GW and the feeling of the Norm-ness is gone.

That's the more professional way of saying the game is filled with sex-crazed teens, what better way to market to that type than putting hot chicks on the cover?
Besides, even if you hate the game, at least you can see your half-naked ele shake her "elements". The game offers something for everyone! Hell, the males in the game are pretty hot, too. How many women swoon over Mhenlo, honestly? He was on a cover, too, BTW.

Anyone else notice the size of the scabbard Jora was carrying in the concept art? What's inside will make a Fellblade look like a toothpick.

Y'all would wanna go check out the GW:EN Fan Site Kit in the latest GW website update... it has a HUGE photoshop layered RGB version of Jora... That's some of the finest detailed pixel work I've ever seen in my life. Makes me wish I had a 100 inch plasma monitor.

Prophecies - the Lich/Vizier
Factions - Shiro
Nightfall - Varesh (or possibly Abaddon)
so IMO only one of the main characters is female.

And the Factions manual Characters section shows the same purple haired assassin labeled "Nika". That argument could go all day.

This is clearly the same girl which appears on the cover, is it not? Vizu does not have the same hair as Nika, and the cover clearly does not sport her image. I don't see what you're trying to get at, it's clearly established that the girl is Nika...only the mini resembles Nika yet is labeled Vizu, which I believe isn't very accurate considering Vizu doesn't appear alive in the game, nor does she have the same hair.
