Hey chronos, after you did my armor i kinda went into a frenzy and picked up on the topaz vivacity plugin for myself, and lets just say, running armors without them, just doesn't compare.
btw, i've been working on adding some pics to textures (kind of like how you've been tribaling stuff) what are you using to add tribal markings to your armor, are you drawing out and coloring the arcs by hand (or mouse rather) or are you using pre-existing pictures to do it?

That is monk FoW right? not a big fan :/
@ Joe: it is 1/2 and 1/2, most is done with the Pentool, but I made alot of them a long time ago and saved them as brushes...but alot are new...so ya, get some practice with the Pentool, because it is absolutely perfect for making arcs and curves.

Well, i've kept on experimenting and to be quite honest i've been finding the topazing tool to be most effective and impressive when used upon weapons, they generally come out superb, particularly those of which that are plagueborn or tormented. Pets and minis have a nice effect as well. but back to the armors, i've been having particular problems with primeval armor textures, the problem is many of the finer details come out perfectly yet the sharpened edges (and you know primeval has alot of them) tends to come out rather gritty, do you have any suggestions for remedying such problems?

-joe fierce try lowering the threshold on YCrbR or something like that and increasing the iterations.
