Depends on how you do it. How much time you spend drunk during drinking binges will determing how many ales you'll need.
If you did it all in one long marathon session, it'll take 10,003 (or is it 10,002?) ales. Add 3 (or 2?) ales to that amount for each session you spend.
If do it for 1 hour at a time, it'll take you 167 sessions, so you'll end up using 10,501 ales. (167 x 3) + 10,000
When you get into spiked eggnog, firewater and other types of booze, the numbers change.

You can play while you are doing your drunkard title by turning off post-process effects, stops all the screen distortions. You just need to remember to click on an ale every minute, something you tend to forget to do while fighting monsters.
Spiked Eggnog is really good for this because you can get three or four minutes of drunk for drinking one and then having another when it runs out. Unfortunately, Spiked Eggnog is only available during Wintersday. Start saving up the right collector components now to trade it in later. Look up the old Wintersday Guides on this forum to find the right stuff to have available for trade.
