for the love of god help me.
Im playing in RA and im losing like 80% of the time.

Blood-13
Curses-13
Soul-4

Im trying to spike with this but even after I add +2 blood +2 curses and then copy the elite i can rarely take anyone down.

Im getting really frustrated so if anyone can tell me how to play this better, improve this, or create a better build all together it would make me happy.

Also, I only have prophesies...

Please dont flame me because I already have intimate knowledge of how much I suck...and its a LOT...

Use a different elite (SS if you only have proph)
Solo spiking with necros is a fairly useless/ineffective thing to do.
Bring skills like Faintheartedness and price of failure.
I'd drop a point in curses, a few points in blood and put it into soul reaping.
You NEED soul reaping.
I'd get the NF campaign asap, as well as factions - lots of good necro skills in there.

FoC really is kind of a fail skill. Recharge is way too long for a rather minor effect, arcane echo doesn't do a ton to fix this, either.

Second- energy issues. You have zero energy management. Since you have prophecies, this means glyph of lesser energy.

Third - no self defenses. A big scary warrior can come put big holes in you in about 4 seconds if you have no way of outhealing/mitigating his damage.

Necros in PvP primarily run [skill]spoil victor[/skill] , [skill]spiteful spirit[/skill], [skill]corrupt enchantment[/skill] or [skill]reaper's mark[/skill]. Since you're prophecies, this means you really should be running spiteful spirit all the time. You could make a case that AoTL dark bombers aren't terrible, but they're a fun gimmick build, not something to be relied upon.

try this out:

[skill]spiteful spirit[/skill][skill]faintheartedness[/skill][skill]parasitic bond[/skill][skill]insidious parasite[/skill][skill]glyph of lesser energy][/skill][skill]desecrate enchantments[/skill][skill]enfeeble[skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

Misses out on some good stuff from not having factions + nightfall, but still not a bad build.

How to start...

The problem with trying to spike with a skill like FoC is that you are only one person and the spike is fairly slow (at least four seconds disregarding the recharge).

Considering you claim to have 13 in both curses and blood maybe you don't put your rune on the headset. Nevertheless you need to get a headset equipped with superior rune of the attribute. If you _want_ a spike build (no matter how misguided that might or might not be) you need 16 in your main attribute.

Apart from that running Curses 13 and Blood 13 in _one_ build is a very bad idea. The lines do not complement each other.

I'll be back with more.

Please dont flame me because I already have intimate knowledge of how much I suck...and its a LOT... One of the reasons you can't take anyone down is your lack of damage.
Desecrate Enchantments, Feast of Corruption, Parasitic Bond, and Barbed Signet are your only damaging skills, of which FoC does nice damage, but can be healed faster than you can cast them.

I don't play PvP, so I don't know the mindset of players (in RA), but good players will not be in groups, so FoC which is has an AoE effect, which you are not utilizing, isn't as good when enemies are not close together.
Using Awaken The Blood is not good if you use Barbed Signet (you may lose more life than you gain).

Rend Enchantments will kill you if your target has lots of monk enchantments on them.

If you plan to take on 1 enemy on your own, then here is something I'd suggest:

[skill]Price of Failure[/skill][skill]spirit of failure[/skill][skill]Parasitic Bond[/skill][skill]chillblains[/skill][skill]plague touch[/skill][skill]spiteful spirit[/skill][skill]insdious parasite[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

Throw IP on a different enemy (so they can heal you each time they attack).

OP: You're sucking because FoC is a weak elite, simply put.
Prophecies only - as other people suggested - Spiteful Spirit is the elite of choice for Curse necros. It's best thrown on a melee foe to either discourage them from attacking if they're half-way decent, or kill them if they're an idiot.

Soul-4 Do you play with a +15energy -1 energy regeneration as your main weapon set?
In pve with high soul reaping it's ok, but I think it's a bad idea in arenas.

RA doesn't determine if you're good or not. Trash builds can win there but that doesn't mean they're good

At RA you should be flexible as you never know what teammates you will play with.
Means you should be able to do damage, to heal yourself, and have some defensive abilities.
Give this a try:

[skill]Awaken the Blood[/skill][skill]Life Transfer[/skill][skill]Life Siphon[/skill][skill]Faintheartedness[/skill][skill]Parasitic Bond[/skill][skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill][skill]Vampiric Gaze[/skill] [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

5 of 8 skills on your bar give degen, do dmg and HEAL you at the same time.
Put 15 (superior rune) blood and 10 (minor rune) curses, rest in soul reaping. Always keep ATB up. Put your siphons on different targets to provide yourelf constant health regen. PB used as cover for your siphons/transfers, IP used on wariors and sins who try to spike you. Do not worry that you do not have much direct dmg spells. The degen you can make on one target is noticeable believe me: Transfer -9, Siphon -3, Faintheartedness -3, Bond -1. How many pips of degen? As any hex build it can be ruined with massive hex removing.

Don't use life transfer, blahblahblah terrible elite.
Why not :
30 second recharge
Runs in blood magic (curses/soul, much better)
Hex Removal > it

If you want to use a degen elite.

[skill]Corrupt Enchantment[/skill]

If you want to self heal, [skill]Signet of Lost Souls[/skill][skill]Parasitic Bond[/skill][skill]Feigned Neutrality[/skill]

It wouldn't call life stealing "defense" it's just a form of crappy self healing. There's more defense in skills like [skill]Reckless Haste[/skill] and [skill]Price of Failure[/skill]. Sins and warriors will still kill you regardless, most warriors are hammer in RA, so what happens if your insidious gets interrupt by a KD?

Also from my experience when playing warrior in RA I hit as much as 80 or so (don't really remember, haven't played warriror for RA in awhile) on regular attacks with my crits, far more then insidious steals anyway.

Also, [skill]Spoil Victor[/skill] OWNZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz

Insidious Parasite steals 47 at 16 Curses. I'm sure you don't do 80 damage with every attack. Even if you did you would take more damage than the guy casting the IP. Any spell can be interrupted and IP has 1 second CT.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that after all IP is a pretty good defensive skill.

Oh and yes, Spoil Victor most definitely owns.

This was with crits on a hammer btw.
Also, ew superiors -40 health for 1 extra attribute? DO NOT WANT.
I'm not saying IP is bad (I like it a lot), let me restate my points.
Insidious Parasite is useless against enemies like ele's, mes' other necros. etc.
Only against martial classes will you see use from it.

Vamp gaze + life transfer/siphons, won't hold for long against say, A mind blast ele or SF ele.
