Changing my GW password and e-mail contact

So it's really starting to annoy me that I'm unable to figure about how to change my GW account password and e-mail contact.

When I'm on the character select screen, I click 'Edit Account', tick the 'Change Password' button, and I'm asked to go to plaync.com, which I thought was a bit weird, but whatever.

So I made a plaync account, but how do I actually change my GW password instead of my plaync one? How do I get my GW account and plaync account to actually recognize eachother?

And also, I took a long break from Guild Wars, when I came back they had this fancy account name feature, but for some reason my account name has already been chosen for me and the person who changes the name said I can't choose another for 30 days.

That sounds like a rly weird situation. You might want to try and contact Guild Wars Support on their website and maybe you will get a detailed response. Only other explanation to the different account name is that maybe you got hacked or something. Idk...

I don't think I was hacked. Unless they were a nice and didn't feel like taking my items. I remember last time that I changed my e-mail/password I didn't get a link to plaync and just had to go on both of the e-mails and confirm the switch. But that was a while ago and I've been playing on-and-off for ages. But I'll take your advice and contact support.

you have been hacked.

getting the link means a master account has already been made for your account and you cannot make a second which you tried to do and one will never connect with the other.

if you used the store the account was created automatically and also linked your account.

NOBODY CHOOSES YOUR NAME BUT YOU OR THE HACKER OF YOUR ACCOUNT

since you can change as often as you want not 30 days whoever told you that is lying and also the one who hacked your account.

There may be a misunderstanding here. Account Name is also the PvP name you assign to your account (must be one of your characters names) and can’t be changed for 30 days. It’s a relatively new feature, so that fits as well.
